Hi everyone, As I mentioned on the BL thread, some of us have been thinking about starting up BabyPhat again, for those of us wanting to ditch some weight post-partum and any others who wish to join in! I was wondering about a Wednesday weigh-in, perhaps? But I'm happy to go with consensus. And we can decide whether we want a 6- 8- or 10-week challenge. As far as stats go, maybe we could just have a thread with individual weight-loss tickers to see how we're all ticking along towards our goals? But that, too, is up for debate - I'm really happy to do whatever works best for everyone to motivate us to keep going! Anyway, welcome, and can't wait to see how we can support one another in meeting our weight-loss goals! Cheers, -Tracy --------------------------------------------------------- Our Stats PageBaby Phat StatsOur tickers(Please PM me if you want your ticker up here too) Rashika Smoochie BellaBambina Sunflower1 neemze Nimbus Pigkey maquis lunna710 Jax

Brilliant - welcome, all, and thanks for joining me! Perhaps we could start by discussing the proposed timeframe/format? My suggestion (totally up for debate/approval, of course!) is this: We start this Wednesday, March 25th, and go for 8 weeks (end date May 20th). We post our start weight, challenge goal (for the 8 weeks), and ultimate goal. We can maybe chat a bit about how we plan on reaching our goals, what rewards/motivations we might promise ourselves at each milestone, and if we want to check in during the week we could share tips, triumphs, menus, etc. I propose also posting an exercise goal for each week, and then upon weigh-in we can see if we've met our individual exercise goals... What do you all think? I'll start off, in advance of discussions on format, etc, by introducing myself: I'm Tracy, and I'm a Canadian (originally S.African) married to a kiwi. We were living in AKL for 4 years, and had our first 2 boys there. After ds#2 was born, I joined the original BabyPhat group and lost 16kg (down from 78 kg-62 kg). Then we moved to Canada to be close to my folks for a few yrs, got pg with ds#3 - started at 64 kg and got up to 74kg, I think - and now that he's 4.5 months I'm ready to resume my weight loss efforts and get down to an all-time low of about 55 kg. I lost 3 kg on BL7, which is pretty slow going but at least I'm going in the right direction! LOL So my start weight is 69.something (back in the sixties!) and I guess my challenge goal will be 65. I'm dealing with some sleep deprivation which makes dieting tough sometimes, but I know I'll get there if I just get started and creep downwards from here. My motivating milestones are: dh's 35th b'day at the end of July, by which time I'd really love to be back to my lowest weight of 62 kg (we're having a 70's theme party and it'll be fun to dress up my skinnier self!), and ds#3's first b'day at the beginning of November - hoping to be at my ultimate goal by then. Well, I've blabbed on for long enough (promise not all my posts will be that verbose!) so will sit back and wait to hear from the rest of you! ttfn, -Tracy

hi, i'm keen to join too. I have done baby phat way back after DD1 and found it very motivating. I lost about 18kg. I have done BL7 and a couple before but haven't had much success. Maybe I need some change so decided babyphat might be the way to go. I can still exit BL8 I guess as it hasn't started yet. Sorry have two crying children BBL

hi, back again, I'm currently 63.6kg and would like to get down to 60kg but struggle to get rid of the last few kgs. Wednesday weigh in sounds great. Do we post our starting weight on here tomorrow and PM the link to our ticker to Tracey? Anyway looking forward to chat.

Hi Sunflower - nice to see you again! Sure, let's just start with our weigh-in tomorrow and if people want to change weigh-in day we can do that later.

Oh can I join in too please? I was in the babyphat after DS a while ago and need to lose weight again since DD's arrival. I think this would suit me better than a BL challenge.
About me...I'm a kiwi currently living in Dublin with a DH, DS who is 2 1/2 and DD who is 7 weeks. On maternity leave from my usual job as a scientist. Weight is currently 74 kg, goal is 65 kg ultimately, 70 kg for the challenge.
right off to get me a ticker.

Welcome, Lunna - I remember you! Congrats on the arrival of your DD, and well done you for getting right back into losing the babyphat! I'm starting the challenge at 69.9 kg - keep going back and forth between that and 69.7, so hopefully I'll be down to the latter weight tomorrow and will keep losing from there! Seems a bit early to plateau, I think! LOL My mini goal is to get to 65 kg this challenge - I'm hoping that I can kick-start things a bit by adding in exercise. My goal for this week is two days of exercise. Off to get myself a ticker, too! And will see if Tasha can get our Babyphat ticker page up near the top of the forum so we can easily see how we're going.

Hey girls I agree, nice to see some familiar faces I am also an ex-Baby phat-er, joined after DS2 was born & lost around 8kgs getting to around 61kg before falling pg with DD. Now I am starting all over to try to lose the excess kgs after her birth in Dec My starting weight this morning is 68.1kg and my goal for this challenge is to get to 64kg. My ultimate goal is 55kg which I'd like to achieve by Dec, in time for DD's 1st b'day & summer. It would be great if you could do a stats page Maggie Ok, gonna see if I can get me a weight loss ticker

Yay, Tamryn! That's a big achievement, and what a milestone! Yep, I remember those of you who were with me during the Babyphat journey! Great to see you all again! Neemze - our ultimate goals are the same, and we're starting at a similar point, too! Great to have a weight loss buddy. Both of us will be skinny minis for our babies' first birthdays!!!
