James was on motilium for about 3 mths a while ago now. It worked a treat and all was well so we were advised the 3 mth course would get his stomach and eosophagis muscles moving again and all would be well. Well he has been of it for a while and his reflux is worst than ever. I was just wondering if anyone else has found this???. I am wondering wheather it has made his body more relant on muscle stimulants to get those muscles working because now he refluxes heaps more, burps all the time, hiccups and spues on a regular basis(not pretty at 5yrs old eh coffee group ladies!!!)Poor reflux mums came for a reflux coffee group and James was home from school refluxing, I think he put the fair of god up them about reflux!!!!(they all had tiny babies and I think the thought of there babies still refluxing till 5 wasnt a good look. LOL. I did assure them he was the very minority and most babies outgrow it!!!) ANYWAY back to my bleat. He is so bad I am considing talking to my pead about putting him back on it(not that I want to) but dont see any other option to move the food through?? He is on 40mg losec and gavison regularly when needed. Any thoughts ladies?????I need SLEEP!!!!!!and a child that attends school for a whole week without vomiting. Viv I totally understand where you are coming from re Katelyn because it really impacts there life when they start school.

Oh man, not good Mariya . I would talk about adding the Motilium back in to the mix - you will soon see if it works or not eh? LOL @ the mum's at the coffee group - hope they weren't too scared off .

LOVED the pictures of James! And the cake was awesome - well done to you!

I would definately be trialing the Motilium again - as am sure you will soon see if it makes a difference. There is no harm in trying especially if it reduces the vomiting, burping etc and allows him a full week at school.
Caitlin has been taking it since March and am now scared that when we see the paed next he may suggest trialing without it........I know what she is like if we accidently miss a dose, so would hate to see her without it for any length of time.
Paed is now thinking along the lines of surgery, so may be unlikely that he makes us go without our Motilium.

Good luck and let us know how it all goes
