We started using lactose free formula since my little girl was 3 months old because it reduced the spilling caused by the reflux not because she was intolerant (that we knew) but for the past 4 weeks I have been trying to find something to give her to snack in the afternoon (she is in 2 meals a day) but rusks and cruskits gave her diarrhea and nappy rash and both of them contain milk, could this be because she is intolerant after all or just because her system is not used to lactose? And has anybody suggestions for a snack that doesn't contain milk? (she doesn't have any teeth yet!) or perhaps a recipe for rusks or biscuits suitable for a young baby? thanks!

Arnotts nice biscuits are dairy free and end up going quite soggy so should be okay for your young one. Some brands of gingernuts have no milk, I think budget, very messy but keep them happy. Plain rice crackers are dairy free but may be a bit hard for a seven month old you'd have to watch carefully. Sunshine foods make a rusk that is dairy free too, they are beside the normal ones in our supermarket (NW)

Is she teething. Teething always caused loose poo and nappy rash with all my kids milk problems or not.

I thought she was teething a couple of weeks ago as she was very grumpy and dribbly but her gums weren't swollen and it doesn't appear that teeth are coming through. She's passing wind a lot (both ends ) and spilly but she doesn't seem in pain, so I wonder if it is the food or the reflux bothering her, but she had losec reviewed less that a month ago and is now on 25mg a day which i think is very high for a small baby. Don't know what else to try. I haven't found the sunshine rusks, I'll try NW today, thanks for those suggestions.
