Have any of you reflux mums used them on your darlings??? Did they help?
I have appointment tomorrow morning to see about hiring one to trial as I need an extra pair of arms here to help settle my baby! SHe seems to like the back and forward motion so this is a optionthat popped into my mind along with some Prozac for mum (kidding but feel mind blown already by reflux)ANy other ideas of things people have found helpful please come and refresh my memory....her bed is left out in the cold at moment as she refuses it use it!!!

The mechanical swing was fantastic here.....Caitlin would even go to sleep in hers, and then we would lift her into her bed!! From memory she cried the first couple of times she went in it, but probably because it was different and not 'Mum', but she soon came to enjoy it and seemed to find it rather soothing. Hope you find one helpful for your little lady.

Sending hugs

I would of got one for Katey if the other two girls weren't so young still and likely to stick their fingers somewhere they shouldn't or get knocked over by the swing hitting them.

Go for it - nothing to loose!

Your munchkin might be a bit wee yet but we had great success with an exersaucer and when Olivia is having a refluxy day she will quite happily sit in it for hours. Olivia had a swing as well and fell asleep in it a couple of times as a wee mite, I think I have a pic...

Thanks all, love the pictures too!
Peace- Yes, the exasaucer did the trick with my boy when he wsas young and I will definetly be using one of those again with Charlie, just needs to grow some more so hence the swing idea. Am going to see the lady tomo and she lets your trail hire it for the week before paying out more like monthy rental etc....
Fingers crossed it gives my angel a wee break from being uncomfortable and unsettled

Hi gutz_cmum

My boy is 6 1/2 weeks and is silent refluxer and from reading this board alot of mothers ahve suggested getting a swing.
So I went to the baby factory and bought one @#%*#@ expensive but if it works it is so wroth it!! (did get it on special though $169 down from $249)
Have been using it abit and he seems happy for about 10 min then crys for a while then happy again. Had him in it this morning and he fell asleep so I guess they do have to get used to it, but it is just so nice to be able to get a few minutes out even just to go to the toilet LOL.

I found mine a real sanity saver. We bought a Fisher Price Aquariaum one from Farmers in one of their sales with 30% off. It is cool and Emily loved it for ages, as she got older she played with the fish that were mounted on the side and swam around as it swung, it also played different music. It was also great for keeping the losec down once she got older and was crawling.
