Hiya
My breastfed bub has been on Ranitidine since 3 weeks old which has been working great for him but lately his spilling had been getting worse. I've been dairy free for the last 11 days (with a slip up on day5) and have been replacing my milk with soy. His spilling seems to be changing, reducing a little but mainly the consistancy has changed from lumpy to runny (including the ones ages after feeds and during sleep etc). That leads me to believe he may have a dairy intolerance so I am being good and waiting for the dairy to leave my system. Problem is since i started the soy he has been waking needing feeds 3 times a night (prev slept thru or woke once) and is really unsettled at his tea-time feed. He has started the screaming, arched back, constantly coming off and relatching thing again.
Could this be a coincidence and it may just be time to up his dose of ranitidine/ try another med or could this be a soy intolerance as well? I can't think what I could eat if i had to avoid dairy and soy and be able to keep making good milk for him!

He's a chubby boy so thats not an issue, but its awful feeding him when i know its just gonna cause him pain.

I really want to continue breastfeeding him so was wanting help on where to go from here?

TIA

Amie
