We have a 1950's bungalow which we installed Batts in the roof a few years back and a Moisture Master system for condensation.
The underfloor isn't insulated except for a new bedroom we built on in 2002.
When it was introduced we didn't qualify for the new Govt Insulation subsidy due to income.

We got a sales pitch over the phone from a crowd called The Healthy Home Group (a division of Fletcher Building) to give us a quote for insulation.
Guy came out and measured under floor approx 90sqm and quoted $1400 with Government subsidy.

Apparently now there is a new subsidy available to everyone regardless of income which will pay 33% subsidy of roof/underfloor insulation if your house is built prior to 2000.

If anyone has had their under flooring insulated to a similar size does the $1400 sound about right.
The insulation is Pink Batts

We used those guys last year for underfloor and ceiling insulation, it was over $2k for both - I can't remember the dimensions for each or the exact price (helpful eh!) but yeah, that price sounds about right to me.

Our house is about 90sqm and cost just under $2000 for ceiling and underfloor insulation about 2 years ago (with the subsidy). The insulation is yellow in the ceiling and GreenStuff under the floor. Most Regional Councils also offer some form of subsidy or low interest top-up loan, so it might be a good idea to check with them.

Our NZ home is a 1950's home and we got $6000 worth of underfloor and ceiling insulation put in last year - cost us $2000 with a community services card. So - am unsure if that is with the subsidy or not - we only had to show our card number

Loc: About there.....
We did our ceiling on our own when we moved but last year had floor done.
120sq m house and floor insulation was $700 or $900 even. We put it on our rates.

Check our eeca website and get a few quotes.

Do it now before winter as there is a queue.

I agree to get some more quotes done. A small amount of your time could save you $100s.
http://www.eeca.govt.nz/suppliers-and-partners/directory
All these are EECA providers (that should give you the grants). Also, the size of the the grant should be on your quote.

That price sounds pretty good actually. We were quoted about 3600 for ceiling an underfloor, and ours is about as simple a house to do then any your could get (it's a small box with high ceiling and plenty of room underneath).
We wont be using the subsidy though as we can install ourselves, cheaper.

Worth getting. But doesn't hurt to shop around as well.
