Talk about attack of the MS! I've had it for the last 2 days and finally got a day off. Seems to be a thing this time, from about 10 weeks onwards I'm suffering for a couple of days. So weird! I wonder if I actually AM brewing a wee boy. 8 weeks to go till I find out for sure!
Delicious Im the same my MS has ramped up something awful since 10 weeks and doesn't seem to be settling, but all my other 3 boys I was getting better by now. Im not sure if I believe in different symptoms for different sexs, I think that its more about whats going on around us? (or maybe im just kidding myself and want to keep believing that this wee one is a boy ) I had a 2 hour nap this afternoon, trying to get some extra rest in before DH leaves on Monday, and yesterday he found out he has to go to Germany straight after USA (not even coming back to NZ) so he will be away from home for the month I suspect. On the bright side I don't have to cook dinner for a month, the boys and I just eat box dinners, pudding for dinner, sandwiches or get takeway. Was going to say something else but forgotten...... Good luck with the midwife Olivia (that wasn't what I was trying to remember )

Great news Monarch, enjoy your midwife appointment today Olivia, im sure they will be able to find babies heartbeat today with the doppler, i have extra padding and my midwife found baby OK last week. Ive decided to have a bit of a break from the board, I was really upset last night by something someone said to me on here, and went to bed crying Which is the last thing I really need and probably a reflection of whats going on at the moment for me and how vulnerable im feeling, taking things personally and to heart. DH left yesterday for the USA and on Friday he found out he has to go straight from the US to Germany so hes likely to be gone a month now. Which is huge on its on coping with the boys and a baby and a pregnancy and awful morning sickness, but with all the worries of protecting them incase of an earthquake (last night I was rattling around the garage making sure I knew where all our emergency stuff was), Im also approaching the dates where we lost Faith and thats mucking with my head a lot. Really don't need it or deserve it, so while DH is away Im just going to give EBB a break so im not accidentally upset again. I actually thought about just deleting my account, but I think that was from hurt and disappointment and I would really miss everyone and the usual support I get from EBB. But I can't be upset like that, its not good for me or baby, nor the boys cause I hardly got any sleep last night. So I will see you all when DH gets home and Im feeling my usual strong and confident self. Good luck with all our upcoming scans and fingers crossed that our morning sickness settles down now were all fast approaching the 2nd trimester.

OH SHIPMATE, these threads are here to share thoughts and feelings with each other not to feel judged. I hate to read someone has said something to someone else that is hurting. Sorry to hear that. xx Take good care of your family and most importantly yourself. A happy Mum is a happy family!!! HI back to you MONARCH. I too am looking forward to reading how your Midwife appointment went today OLIVIA. I hope everyone had a nice long weekend. In our little corner of the world the weather was drizzly and misty the whole 3 days. Any way, we all bonded around the TV.

Awwww that sucks Shipmate - I always enjoy reading your posts as you’re so knowledgeable and often you bring a point of view that I've never thought about. Shame on the person who has upset you Look forward to your return Olivia how was your appointment? I went and had my NT bloods today. A. was in the pram watching and when she saw the needle being inserted into my arm she started crying and doing the baby sign for "pain" and she kept saying boo-boo in between sobs What a clever little girl!! I kept smiling and telling her that mummy was okay and it wasn't until the lady had finished that she stopped crying. A. must be teething hasn't had a sleep all day long and was crying for about 40min and nothing I could do could console her. Eventually gave her some pamol & weleda teething powder. Still sobbing on & off in her cot. Poor wee poppit - might get her up and just put her to bed early

well i certainly dont have any problems with Iron. a good level is above 20...... mine is 120! being referred to hospital OB for my Crohn's Disease and also for my elective c-section. ultimately they will decide when my actual due date is because at this stage its still up in the air! so my last scan was 2 weeks ahead of my dates, and midwife agrees that my dates are most likely correct. so now she has a to write a very detailed letter explaining why we are right. hoping that my scan on Friday will make things a bit clearer. but because i'm having an elective then 2 weeks difference is actually quite important. heading to bed now, i'm exhausted with all this confusion

whoop whoop scan tomrrow at 8.30!
Just finished watching Winners & Losers - geee I love that show! Does anyone watch it? I was cringing like anything when Doug fell on Bec - hehehe that would have been sooooo awkward but it was sooo funny!!!
Yay for a great iron levels Olivia! In my last pregnancy mine went extreemly low and I was told if they don't come up within a few weeks I would have to have a transfusion. Thank goodness for spatone iron liquid, all the other iron things and meat, meat, meat!!
Question about the electives...when do they normally happen? I'm having one - well yet to be confirmed by the specialist - and they have another thing coming if they say no!!
Right off to bed now as we all have to get up super early in order to get from the Shore to St Heliers in time for the scan! This Auckland traffic is just so unpredictable so you always have to allow for heaaaaps of time!
Toodle too!

RMS electives usually happen about 2 weeks prior to due date. it's your choice how you wish to give birth and they can't say no to you if you want an elective. good luck for your scan tomorrow. gosh you will be up super early huh. and good luck with the traffic

I'm going to be having an elective this pregnancy as well (it will be my third), RMS. Usually you go in at around 32 weeks or 35 weeks (depending on your midwife) to have a consultation with the OBGYN who's performing the procedure and they will decide on a date then. Usually they like to keep it around 39 weeks in most centres, it depends entirely on the pregnant woman of course. I was HUGE at 35 weeks when I went in and so the OB gave me a date for 38 weeks. Bubs came out 7lb2 as well, so not so teeny for the date Sorry to see you go Shippy. Shame you just can't come on this thread babe and be surrounded by the good stuff. Don't worry about other people on the internet with opinions that are hurtful, only you can make you feel bad, no one else can. Well I am showing in a big way like at least 5 weeks ahead of where I was last pregnancy. I look all scary and fat, which is scary if you're already a big chick like me I tried to go dress shopping for some wedding's coming up... FAIL! My body shape is so funky right now that everything isn't sitting right (I might be a bit fussy about that kind of thing though).

Hi de hi Scan went well this morning Got some lovely photos and the sonographer was lovely and took her time - unlike the other lady. glad we went to a different place! I hear you on the clothes delicious! I'm at that stage where I look like I'm carrying around a spare tyre where people probably thing "is she or isn't she pregnant!" I too have a wedding coming up in March - haven't even given clothing a thought yet - perhaps I should start thinking about it! hehe Right gotta scoot it's gone quiet which can only mean only thing...the little miss is up to something!!!

Hi all I am so glad there's only one more day of work this week. Ms has returned the last two nights and broken my sleep I need a good catch up. I'm glad your scan went well today RMS. It's nice when they give you a lengthy view of what your baby is up to while doing their measurements. Kinda funny on Tuesday (after my weekend adventure) when one of the ladies at work told me she had a present for me. She had been given a pack of real nappies from plunket and had grabbed them for me. I feel like baby's bottom will be covered well and truly now for the first year or so.

Ducking in quickly in an internet cafe to let you know that the scan went well this morning!! They have now set me at being due the 16th August and said they will stick with that now... We got a good view of the arms, legs, head, nose, stomach and heart...was so awesome I'm sitting here with tears brimming.... We are PREGNANT..... I know that sounds weird, as we've known for a while now but after all the heartache, this little button is a sticker.... So much emotion... I still may need to go back in the next few days, as they couldn't get the measurement they need, so will call the MW when I get home and see what she says.... Will catch up with you all in the coming days. We are meant to have a phone/internet connection in the next day or two. Hope you are all doing ok.

Dreamgirl, huge congrats on the great scan Must be such a relief after losses. Olivia, your scan is today isn't it, can't wait to hear how it went, will be a special day for your IP's and you for sure Ok, so how long do the sore boobs last? Surely it isn't the whole pregnancy, I just can't remember how it was last time. Yikes, when I take my bra off at the end of the day... not to mention when the kids stick their elbow or knee in them Feeling really good these days, ms totally gone, tiredness gone and now not needing to pee in the night, bliss to get an almost full night sleep! Belly is rather large, guess that's what happens in pregnancy #3, bought 2 pairs of maternity jeans from Jeans West, really comfy. Of course now that I have bought them suddenly summer has arrived!
