Clemmy I was so sorry to read your news - I hope you're okay babe. This roller coaster is definitely that - bet those cuddles with Caitlyn help - do hope to see you back on the roller coaster soon!!!

Hammygirl - how cool to hear from you again babe - can't believe Anna is 2 1/2 already!!! Good luck with your embie transfer - will be keeping an eye on you to see how you go!!!

Two sleeps to go and we leave for Hawaii - going to San Diego on the 29th and Embryo transfer on the 31st. We're having 2 perfect blasts put back - god I hope one of them decides to work!!!

Anyway, will let you know how it goes!

I just started reading this tread today after being off it for almost a couple of years and am surprised and warmed to see some familiar people here.

NGladys wow, congratulations. That sure was tough going! but it's so wonderful to see that you have your beautiful baby now. You are amazing!

Clemmy I'm so sorry to read about your latest set back, that all seemed so positive. I hope you're doing OK.

I'm just gearing up to try again using our one remaining blast. It feels so strange to be back here again. I'd forgotten (or pushed aside) all the IVF roller coaster. I'm amazed how it all comes flooding back!

Hi Clemmy, my little girl just turned 1 last week so ours are pretty close in age I think. To answer your question; I'm just hoping like crazy that we don't have to do more IVF the last round really took it out of me. I'm pretty sure we'd do one cycle though, but I'm not sure after that.
Hope the D&C goes OK next week. Was that your first try since having your little one?

Yes they are pretty close! We are very lucky to have these little ones hey smile

I only had 1 frozen blast, we were hoping it would be our family done but not to be! I now have my horse float and cart on Trademe, and hoping they will sell by the time we are able to get started for 1 last cycle.

Have everything crossed for you that this little blast works for you smile

Clemmy, sounds like were are at really similar stages. I'm so sorry your frozen blast didn't work. I'm worried too that the chances aren't that great for ours working, but I still have high hopes for it! (It's hard not to isn't it?). I hope your horse float sells in time. So hard having to sell stuff to go though all of that again, but the outcome is so worth it if it works out. Best of luck to you!

finally had my D&C yesterday. Tears in recovery over it finally being the end but a good sleep last night has made a big difference. The nurses and staff at Ascot were amazing and took great care of me.

NGladys, getting closer to transfer! Hope you are having a nice holiday there smile

Thanks Clemmy!!! Don't know what to think really - could we be lucky twice?? Some concern that there is fluid in one of the fallopian tubes which could be toxic to embies but can't get a proper diagnosis without an xray, so all on hold till we find out the results of our BT.

Yes, our princess is going to be one in two weeks! Have plans to take her to the Zoo although we went to the San Diego zoo yesterday and it will take a bit to beat that!!! She was christened the Sunday before we flew out so we had a big party then - think it will just be family this year - as long as there is cake, I'm sure Sophie won't mind!!

Hi Clemmy, thanks for your kind words. The defrost was very successful and the transfer was very quick and easy. Yes, this is our last frosty so we've got a lot of hopes riding on it. I had a really rough time with the last IVF cycle; 33 egg and a horrendous egg collection and a bit of OHSS to top it off. Needless to say I'm not wanting to do that again if I can avoid it. I thought I'd be used to these two week waits by now, but it never seems to get easier. Straight away my head is going crazy worrying if anything I'm doing/eating etc is affecting my chances. Got to keep myself busy over the next week!!

Hi NGladys, so sorry to ear about the BFN frown I read about the surgery, how are you feeling about that? May is not that far away!!

I am still in the process of trying to sell my horse float to raise some money for our private cycle. I am sure it will go. DH has final interview for a new job this week and I am still on the hunt for a part time admin role to help with the finances! All go in this house too smile Have review with Mary on Wednesday so will see if she can suggest anything we can try to help with the miscarriages and hopefully do a cycle in a couple of months April/May ish

Clemmy, It was a natural cycle. We are trying to do everything exactly the same as last time so I'm on asprin (for my positive ANA) and I did acupuncture before and after the transfer. I don't know if it does anything, but if nothing else, it's great to have a calming lie down before and after the procedure. I'm also taking some herbs since it's a natural cycle and there's no chance of them interfering with any drugs. May as well throw everything at it eh?!
I hope your DH gets his job (a final interview sounds very promising) and you're on your way to the next cycle soon.

NGladys, I was following your story as I approached my transfer and am very sorry to hear that this one wasn't the one for you. I hope your surgery is for something small and you are back on your feet quickly. You've been though so much!

Ugh! I'm tragic. I can't stop myself googling early pregnancy symptoms even though I've been though all this before. Wish there was some way to short cut the waiting. Sunday seems so far away.
