Well just back from my appointment with new midwife. She's lovely and I think the fact that she's three streets away rather than 50 odd kms away will make it easier too.

She was able to tell me my NT results and I am in the low risk category. Such a relief I was thinking small numbers because of my age but they were pretty good. So hopefully one less thing to stress about.

I'm glad your visit to National Women's was positive dream girl.

Had a lovely visit with my midwife, she loved seeing Harry, was special. Must be amazing see this little person you helped birth grow up to be such a special wee boy. Heard baby moving and kicking and lovely 160pm heart rate, feel in a good space for the scan next week.

Olivia thats the same drops as I have, except it has one other flavour (sour orange).

She is sending another referral to the hospital, got my bounty pack and a script for some more stuff to help with nausea.

wave Hello MTB ladies of August. May I join you all. I will clearly be the oldest lady on this thread. I am the oldest person on all the other threads too. giggle
Anywho, I am proud to share a thread with the two awesome, generous ladies who a carrying for their special IP to be. Callog, I read posts from you a while ago when being a suuro. for your couple. So it is lovely to see you here with your prgnancy ticking along nicely. love2 Olivia, you also, I think what you are doing for your special IP is so unselfish and kind. WOW, words, I would not be able to find to thank you if you were doing this for my DH and myself. love2

Cherry tree, Woops, Peace, Woops, Delicious, it is amazing that two of us from the April 2011 thread has made it here already....
I am happy your last scan showed a happy, active bubs and that you are in a happy place now.

MS is just horrid at time eh?? At least it is not just a nasty virus or something. We are feeling quezzy for a reason. pregnant
I reckon too, I have felt so extremely tired these early weeks and no one really understands that because my tummy isn't popping out yet. Then when you are as big as a house later on and you feel tired, you get all the understanding you could ask for. whaaat

wave Welcome Just reach!

Yay 1 more day of work and then it's back to fulltime mummy'ing!

My MS really has come back this week after it went away! It's there constantly and I feel yuck! Sour lollies seem to help but the ones you buy at the supermarket aren't sour enough so today I added 1/2 tsp of tataric acid to it and shook the bag up. Has made a massive improvement although at times it's veeeery strong and there are some awesome facial expressions that go along with that!!

Feeling really tried having around 11 hours sleep at the moment!

Right off to have a wee kip before I start dinner. Picking up my little girl tomrrow - looking forward to it! Mum says she's coping beautifully and hardly misses us!!

Gemmy! Awesome scan result! Yipeee!

wave JR ... so exciting your wee one will have a sibling nice and close.

I'm finding MS worse if i don't eat ... have found I can stomach eggs on toast for brekkie better than anything milky - and it's good protein as well. It's the afternoon when I feel like grazing but there is not much to graze on due to my wonderful grocery budgeting. Am getting some more fruit today so that'll be good.

Our youngest is getting more teeth which is giving us some drama's at night, but at least I know they can sleep more than 3hrs in a row ... so it's just a phase fingersx Other kids are all good, getting back into our routines which is nice. Going to enjoy the sunshine today.

I agree with JR - I can't imagine how amazing it is for someone to be carrying for IPs (i'm a bit dense - so not sure how the whole surrogacy thing works in NZ) ... but AMAZING!!

JR cheer for finding us, I love the close age gaps, I like the bigger age gaps too rofl The benefits of the close is often the sibling is still doing lots of day naps and usually you can co-ordinate them so your getting a few rest periods in the day, whereas with a toddler and a baby you don't get that down time but still up all night.

Gemmy sorry about the teeth, Harry still only has 4, but when they come they haven't seemed to give him problems, so fingers cross that continues.

Im feeling very lucky this week, my non sleeping baby has decided that yes I do sleep and has had 3 nights of 12 hours, Ive had so many people criticise me for the amount of night feeds he has, the co-sleeping, breastfeeding whilst pregnant and Im so chuffed that it shows in his own time, in his own comfort pace he can and will happily do it, without crying, without being deprived of any of the comfort or nutritional needs.

RMS wow to 11 hours sleep, gosh that must be bliss, my bladder doesn't seem to let me go longer than 4-5 hours. frown

My MS still hasn't gone had an awful night last night, but I think it was because I cheated for dinner and just had a frozen pie for dinner (which I only had a tiny bit of) but obviously my body does not like meat pies for dinner. I had to take a maxalon at 10pm last night to get to sleep, thankfully its working really well and im only having to take 2 a day to keep it all at bay. (can take up to 3) Is anyone else taking any anti nausea meds? Im also taking VitB twice a day.

Bring on the long weekend, I have a long list of things I want DH to do before he leaves on Monday like scrub the kitchen cupboards, floors, skirting s, dust all our furniture properly in the beds, clean the walls in the kitchen (who has children that manage to get dinner on the wall at dinner time, drives me insane) give the bathroom shower a good glass clean, and do all the outside gardens and lawns, so that I can just maintain for the nearly 3 weeks hes gone for. Mind you Im very lucky we have lovely neighbours who will come and do lawns, they take the boys for walks in the evening too while im on my own, very very lucky. They don't have children and spoilt the boys.

We will be able to start a 2nd trimester thread shortly as we all start to make our way there.

Morning lovelies,

Well we are almost at moving day, one more sleep and I'm so ready for it to be over and done with! Moving and 1st trimester, not a good mix.... Poor hubby is feeling it a bit at the moment I think, we had a little blue this morning as he's not coping well with me going from super memory wife to preggy brain and is having to remember more oops I did remind him that I have packed 90% of the house and done a huge amount of cleaning already, plus cooked each night....he got it in the end and I know to that he is being handed a lot of stress at work and also has a 23yr son from his first marriage that is a huge worry... As a friend said this morning, "Its all about give and take" Was all better before he left for work.... I think we both just need to get into the new place and chill for a month....

Shipmate, I'm still going with MS as well. Not taking anything, but if its still going when I see the MW next I'll be asking for something. I'm not throwing up, but 90'% of the time when it flares up wish I could.....weird, it seems to be morning and night now (espeically after dinner)

Yay to almost time for a 2nd Trimester thread!! Woohoo yahoo

Shipmate my hat goes off to you, with your hubby going away for 3 weeks! Great that the neighbours are so wonderful! And as for other criticising you for how you are with your baby, that is their opinion and you are doing a brilliantly! We all have our own way of doing things and sometimes people just doing know when to keep their mouths shut...

RMS how do you get 11hours sleep in a row???? My bladder at the moment refuses to do more than 2 - 3 hours. Mind you I'm getting really thursty late afternoon and early evening at the moment and if I don't drown myself in water, I find my MS gets worse...ah well its all training rofl

Right, I'll be a back a little later to see how the scans today have gone (can't remember if there were any)

Will be offline for 5 - 9 days as hubby forgot to organise the phone reconnection oops so we have to wait for Vodafone to flick a switch...might be nice to not have any calls for a week grin If we are not online yet by next Friday, I'll drop into an internet cafe and update you on our scan!

Gemmy thats funny wat you say about breakfast, usually i'm a great breakfast eater and have been up until this week, now i can only just manage some yoghurt!

been craving cheese and onion sandwiches something chronic the last couple of days, can't get enough of them! and luckily i dont have anyone to kiss at the mo wink

Sorry to hear you are still suffering Shipmate, RMS and Dream Girl, it really is the pits isn't it. hopefully the MS will be gone really really soon!

RMS 11 hours sleep?! oh i'm so jealous! my bladder only lasts 6 hours at the most at night.

Dream Girl good luck for the move fingersx and will catch up with you when you have internet again smile

Hey JR, welcome aboard. I think we miss your updates in PM since you left. Izz, I am sure, is going to make a lovely big brother.
Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Talk about attack of the MS! I've had it for the last 2 days and finally got a day off. Seems to be a thing this time, from about 10 weeks onwards I'm suffering for a couple of days. So weird! I wonder if I actually AM brewing a wee boy. 8 weeks to go till I find out for sure!

Hi de hi!

Heheh yep I was stoked that the bladder held on for such a long time - I was in the bathroom weeing for ages that morning - I'm sure I broke some sort of record!!

Still sleeping heaps but now I'm getting up a few times during the night thanks to the bladder!!

Finished my "working" week - incredibly tired - I forgot how hard it is being pregnant and working!

Really off my food at the moment although reallllly love my coco pop - haven't had them for years but now I'm chowing them down like there is no tomorrow.

It's funny in my last pregnancy I'd ateheaps of vinegar based stuff and it made me feel heaps better i.e Fantastic Delites Sea Salt & Balsamic or s&v chips. This time round I cannot stand the taste or the sight of them and am into my "sweet" things. Which isn't really a good thing!!!

Anyways dinner time - got some fresh corn from the garden and some yummy salad and DH is frying up some meat on the bbq alhough I'm not sure if I'll have any sick
