Had my eyes pic's taken yesterday, passed with flying colours, so that's it for another couple of years.

My Mum has had Type 2 for 20 years and had her two yearly eye check last week. It shows a bleed in her right eye and she now has minimal to no vision in that eye. With her age and being in care, the GP is advising going private as there aren't the resources at the Diabetic Eye Clinic at the Hospital for someone like my Mum.

I strongly endorse Elizabeths comments here, you can't afford to stuff around with your eyesight.

Didn't get any pic's Bryan but I can assure you both eyes were spot/pin prick free. My GP refers me to the retinal eye clinic every two years, no waiting and best of all it's FREE.

Not quite free here Annie. I just went last week, and got a completely clean bill of health. But they did do a biopsy on my wallet and lightened it by $103.

Its free here to, but its a game of finding the Eye Clinic, my last three checks have been at different venues.

I am not sure whether its lack of room or they are swapping the camera to differring venues to stop someone pinching it.Anew one was purchased recently and the Operator mentioned a figure around $80,000 .00

Good that all was ok.

I have to go for my first eye check on friday.
