DS1 used to be allergic to all dairy food, but in the last 6months - year he has become more tolerant. First it was all the baked milk stuff, but lately he had cheese, icecream, and today he had a yoghurt (well not yoghurt dairy flavoured food if I'm more precise) So I'm just wondering, do I increase his intake, do I give him raw milk, whats next?

Advice much appreciated!

I'd increase his intake and then move to proper yoghurt (maybe something like sweet Greek yoghurt) and then onto the other "rawer" milks increasing overall amount as you go.

I recently did the same thing. DS was eating some dairy baking so moved onto yoplait for 6 months plus but by day 3 (about half the pottle) he was chucking the worse wobblies you've ever seen! After about a week of horrendous tantrums I stopped the yoghurt and he's been great ever since. Still doing baked dairy though but will give the yoghurt a break and try again in a few months time.

It sounds promising for you though - so good luck!!!

I guess I'll have to keep an eye on his behaviour. He is such a wee sensitive thing anyway, so it will be hard to realise what is milk, what is being over sensitive and then he's also realised lately that he's a middle child and feels very sorry for himself in that sense.

But it looks very promising - whats this space!

So, he's been on a yoghurt every day for almost a week now. No obvious things yet, but whats the things that I need to keep an eye out for?

Hi 3boys!

He's been on a yoghurt a day for 2 weeks and to be honest I can't see any difference for the better or worse (which I guess is a good thing!) We'll just stick with that for now, and maybe increase his dairy intake after a couple of months.

This allergy thing sure is funny, how could he be so allergic to something and now there is no reaction what so ever? Makes me think: what caused him to be allergic in the first place, and what helped him get over it?
