So, does anyone have a good pad thai recipe that doesn't take 7000 ingrediants and half a day to do? Lol. Like I know to get it good youwould need a few spices, but maybe there is one that uses a combined paste, instead of me needing to grind seeds and stuff....

TIA!

there is a brand at the supermarket Felicis that has all the spices combined but you need to do the rest - I have made a couple of the curries and they are yum but cos you have to do everything other than grind the spices you don't actually feel like you are using a packet as such.....

Will have a hunt through my pantry and get back to you but pretty sure there is a pad thai in the same brand

Its 'Spice Easy' brand but I just did quick search on Countdown online and they only have Indian curries packets listed but I am fairly certain there was a Pad thai version - anyway at Countdown and I suppose Pak n save as well they are found in the international section

oh good to know SIA, that's the kind of thing I was meaning, rather than 'packet' per se.

Will look out ofor it next time I am at the supermarket.

thanks Beekay, that looks yummo! I wonder if combining that with the spice mix would work - I don't think I could be btoehreed with the whole chilli mincing - or maybe just use preminced chilli. hmmm.

I've used this one with good results. I love pad Thai...ate it every single day when we were in Thailand last year...and all the pad thais were different, not sure there really is such thing as an authentic recipe anyway smile
