We had a MMC and D&C on 17th of November. AF came on 22nd of December but this month had very litle ovulation signs which isn't normal for me. Just wondering if because I have already had a period my HCG levels are back to normal?? or does this not necessarily mean that ? My specialist hasn't monitored this at all and just said to wait one cycle before trying but i am a little confused. Any information is much appreciated

Hi abbiesmum. As far as I know you can't have a period until your HCG is back to zero. Did they monitor your bloods until you were back to zero?

Lack of ovulation signs may just be your body adjusting after the D&C. I hope things return to normal for you soon.

No they didn't monitor my bloods after D&C - AF came back after 4 weeks 6 days so hoping that will get back to normal soon

So sorry to read about your little bubba.

For me it took about 7 weeks for my period to come back after my d & c - that was because my hcg levels were very slow to drop.

Once my periods came back I noticed that they took a few months to get back to my regular cycle. I just never knew when to expect them as they would be anywhere from 30 -45 days long - which of course made it a bit tricky to figure out when ovulation was happening as sometimes there were no ovulation signs but according to temp charting it had happened.
