Hi There
we are taking our nearly 2 year old to fiji for a week at the start of march and was wondering if anyone new of any good places for us to stay.
Have heard the coral coast is best place to stay for families?
Just want a nice hotel that has good food options and possibility of a kids club / baby sitter for 1-2 hrs per day
Any help much appreciated

Hi there,
I think coral coast or Denerau Island would be better with a toddler - just because it's a lot less hassle reaching these places without arriving in Fiji, and then having to travel to another island (Denerau is a man-made island attached to the mainland).
There are usually deals at both these places (there are a number of resorts on Denerau - and probably at Coral Coast too) so have a look around online.

Had a fabulous time. The staff LOVE the younger children and have very cheap babysitters. Would happily go there again. Food was average, but that was 4 years ago. Would definitely go there again.

We did Plantation Island and The Fijian when DD was that age. Loved both of them, they are completely different but both were great.

We went to the Sofitel on Denarau (pre kids) and we wouldn't hesitate to go back there now with the kids, they have a fantastic kids club and babysitting services and amazing food! And a awesome pool! http://www.sofitel.com/gb/hotel-5706-sofitel-fiji-resort-and-spa/index.shtml

Where ever you go in Fiji it should be nice!!!

I however, and if money wasn't too much of a concern I would go to Castaway. The kids club is fantastic...Actually just reread your post and your child is 2. Castaway Kids Club is 3 and upwards.

Anyway, if you want a relaxing holiday the babysitters on Castaway are awesome. So friendly and much adored by the children and adults alike.

Oh and the food is awesome aswell.

We went to the Sofitel in August , and it was AWESOME!!!!! babysitters so easy to book (and omg cheap!) kids club, and not only that, but all the staff are so good with kids, are helpful (finding highchairs, booking actitives, smiling and talking to them, playing with them, stealing them for a walk while you eat!!) The kids pool is great too, so easy to sit next to it reading while the kids play happily and safely.

(and its also one of the few places that take kids in the kids club at 2

Would definitely stay there again with littlies.

We did the Raddison at Denerau with our (then) 2.5 yr old a couple of years ago. Was great. Fantastic pool. Excellent babysitters. She'd be too young for kids club on her own, but you can do stuff with her. Denerau is great and easy - you can wander along the beach and have dinner at a different resort every night if you like.
