I ordered a battery for my meter as usual from Roche Diagnostic's Accuchek and was somewhat amused to read the contents of their letter that accompanied the battery. It was on the lines of 'studies show that people with diabetes can benefit from testing'. Oh really?? I guess I am mildly irritated with a firm that sends out a clerical letter stating the b....y obvious to people who presumably have been seeing a health professional and who DO realise the importance of testing and trying to keep blood sugars level.
Of course we know, deep down, that all Accuchek really cares about is money...and for us to keep using their wretched meters.

It probably was meant more for type 2s as well, which would annoy me even more. More type 1s use their products, but everything seems to focus on the type 2s.

It is hilarious getting that letter - typical case of a non Diabetic trying to appear knowledgable.

I guess one has to justify ones existence.
