Now that I have had a chance to brew over my post a little. I just want to say that they do tend to go through a big social change when they are five and start school. DD1 seemed to almost change over night (it was longer though), a lot of the silly, childish behaviour did evaporate with the responsibility of school and I must say, it's not very often that we slip into territory where there is non negotiable behaviour that I have to act on.

Thanks Delicious, I feel the same way you suggest, that she thinks she is co-captain of the ship. Her behaviour is improving this week since I have reigned in some of the worst stuff. It makes me feel better thinking there is hope when school starts. I just really hope she managed to make a friend or two that treat her nicely, as at kindy she's been bossed about and with her other friend from the next school, the same issue. She's really friendly with an exclusive brethren girl, she's lovely and I get on with her Mum really well. But the issue is that she's never going to be able to go to her house and vice versa (they'll be in the same class together). We invited her to DD's birthday but I knew they wouldn't rsvp due to the "rules".
