Hi all

I wondered if any of you lovely ladies have experienced bleeding after sex following a m/c.

I had a missed miscarriage in Oct at 11 wks and ever since then I have bled after sex. Mostly it is small amounts but last night resulted in quite a lot of blood and considering I am only on day 16 of my normal 28 day cycle, it all seems a bit odd. October was my 3rd micarriage and this didn't happen after my previous 2 so I'm not quite sure what's going on.

My periods have also been a bit odd, Oct was very long and heavy, Nov was very late, long and heavy and Dec was on time but very short and light.

I just want to get pregnant again ASAP but it feels like my body is all over the place.

I was at the Gynae in Dec and I mentioned the bleeding, she examined me and said everything looked ok but I'm wondering if I need to go back...

Hey Cal, sorry you are going through this! It's so frustrating when our bodies do this to us!!

Sorry no advice from me. Just to say that I haven't experienced this & I've had 3 MC's too although all were early.

Hope u get some answers soon

Cal - did you get a scan done? It sounds to me like that would be a good idea. If nothing else, it is better to have these things checked. I'm not a medical person, but it sounds to me like there is something unresolved.

Argh!!

I'm so over this. Rang my OB this morning as my bleeding has become heavy and has tissue in it and she thinks I may be having another miscarriage, I would be about 6 weeks pregnant. She thinks the light period I had a few weeks ago may have been implantation bleeding. I had a blood test done this morning to check if I was pregnant or not.

At least if this is miscarriage number 4 the fact I didn't even know I was pregnant makes it a little easier..

Yes I was pregnant and now I'm up to miscarriage number 4. I was really hoping 2012 might work out a bit better for us. NOT a great start to the year.

I really wish my family felt complete with just 2 kids, maybe I should get another dog as that would be a bit easier than all of this...

So sorry you've lost another angel grouphug
Are you going to get your OB to refer you to the Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic?

Hi sweetp

My OB did some tests/examinations etc.. in Dec and everything came up normal. We also have a plan in plan for my next pregnancy.

I'm not sure about the recurrent miscarriage clinic? How have other peoples experiences with the Auckland clinic been?

My OB has plan for next pregnancy as well but still referred me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic.
Have appointment in 3 weeks - not holding out too much hope and they have said there is no magic pill that will ensure the next pregnancy is successful but willing to try anything. I will let you know how I get on.

Oh Cal, I'm so sorry for your loss frown

We had our fourth loss in November, pregnant by accident, found out on the Mon I was pregnant, and on the Tues that we'd lost it. It doesn't get any easier, does it.

I don't know if Akld is the same as Wgtn, but it took quite a bit of working out for me to realise that here the Recurrent Miscarriage (which is investigation) and High Risk Pregnancy (support during pregnancy) clinics are two separate things. Seems like the system's changed back and forth so much in recent years, that half the medical people I was dealing with hadn't realised that either, which is why I was getting weirdly different answers from different people. Anyway, that would be my suggestion when you're going to the clinic, find out exactly what kind of support they're able to provide - investigation, or support during your next pregnancy.

Big big hugs to you Cal.

Cal, I'm so sorry to hear about your angel. I can't add anything about the clinics but wanted to let you know that we're all here to listen when you need. Big hugs.

xx
