Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has any contacts for someone or of an agency of babysitters/nannies that have experience with type 1 diabetic children?

I am thinking we may (reluctantly) need one next year.
I have done a google search but that hasn't helped much and I don't think there is a website specifically for this (unless I have missed it!)

Why don't you contact DNZ and ask if there are any trustworthy responsible Type 1 teens/young adults around your area who would like to babysit for you.

Second or third year nursing students could also be interested but not sure who you'd contact in Wellington.

Otherwise try DNZY as I seem to remember that sometime ago they were thinking of offering this type of service....don't know if it ever got off the ground though. Good luck in your search.
