whats the difference? my pharmacy has told me there is no difference, that some babies tolerate one more than the other, if they are exactly the same then how is this possible??
They are different brands therefore can have slightly different ingredients added even though the main working ingredient is the same. It doesn't seem to make a difference to my daughter which one she uses and our chemist has just changed the subsidised brand again which I was worried about but seems to still work just the same here.
The active ingredient (Omeprazole) is exactly the same, but it needs to be protected from the stomach acid by a coating around the active ingredient. This coating is made of different excipients in the brands.
Dr Reddy's Omeprazole is being replaced by Omezol as the funded brand.
