Hi,

just trying to find out if there is something better to control my nausea. At the moment I've got Metoclopramide 10ml 3x day, but it seems to only take of the edge a bit. Today is a little better then yesterday, when I had to take to bed at 20:00 don't move and close my eyes in complete silence. Today again I slept quite a bit, eating little bits. The best thing until now are gingernuts.

Any experience with other medication what seemed to work well for you?

Hi loss5times,

My morning sickness has been pretty bad, it's most of the day, and is HELL at night time. My Dr wont prescribe me anything, only B vitamins which dont do sh*t.
So I went to the pharmacy and got Blackmores morning sickness relief - which is basically ginger (I can't stomach the flavour of it at the mo) with a bit of B vitamin. I am at day 3 and I feel fantastic.
Last night was the first time I wasnt in tears due to the sickness and it totally takes the edge off in the day.
There are varied reviews, but if gingernuts work, this may do for you. You could prob take it in combination with your prescribed stuff too.

Good Luck

Thanks for the idea. I bought it today. Let's see how it goes the coming days.

I'm sorry to see that you have such bad morning sickness as well. Good that the ginger tablets seem to work.

My GP agreed to put me on medication that excourages my stomach to empty, because with my son I lost 7 kg in the first trimester. And that was with medication already! That is just a bit too much.
At the moment I manage to retain my weight, but I haven't arrived in week 8 yet.

My GP in Melbourne prescribed Maxolon which was great....i still had bouts of nausea but the vomiting stopped. I could keep food down and felt heaps better when I took it.

I didn't have maxolon for ms, but when i did have it (years ago), it made me feel really REALLY sick and nauseous. (Just another piece of feedback on that medication :))

I have finally got over hyperemesis and have just come off Zofran. I was on 6 tablets a day and it was the only way I could get through the day. I swear by it. Was on it from 6 weeks until 20 weeks.

I had no morning sickness, not even a second with any of my other children but this time was power-vomitting for miles. I couldnt walk from one end of the house to the other without the motion making me vomit. It saved me!

Good luck, I really hope you're feeling better soon

Thanks, I'm so much better by now. Since week 11 I improved and now with week 16 coming up I'm off medication and gingerroot pils. It's the heartburn that I'm fighting now frown
