Hi All I need some help with losing weight, am currently sitting on 99kgs. Can't use calorie counter sites, as on phone, can't affotd weight watchers atm. Has anyone found a great diet plan that's easy to maintain on a budget? Did sureslim work well but dex threw out my meal planner. TIA.

Hiya,
A few years ago I did WW and lost an impressive 30 kg. Sorry I cant help with the points counters etc as I gave away all my stuff.But I found it really easy to count the points and stick to them.
I am doing the low carb thing at the moment and I find this a little more expensive that buying the low cal foods. I dont count the kj and if I did, I prob would be loosing more quicker. It is more limiting if you dine out regularly.
Do you have a friend that needs to loose weight to? I did, and we had a weekly weigh in session and it became a competition for us. Kept us on track and I got down to my lowest ever weight this way.
Had another beautiful child since then so still trying to loose those pounds. I go walking as I cannot afford the time or money to go to a gym.

Have you thought about getting a WW points book off trademe and starting that way? thats what I have done.

I am just following the food pyramid, and going to the gym and bushwalking. Personally after having done the weight watchers thing and been successful at it, I think its a waste of time. They had the old way, then it was fat and fibre, which I found to be confusing and then they went to points, then they revised last year and you had to buy new books, now they have point 2012 I saw on tv and you prob have to buy new books for that too. I find getting support off here and going to the gym enough. I take the dog in the bush as she is too fat and she loves it as she can run free. Try cutting out white bread, as I have and I have lost 5.5kgs in 2wks, but believe me I have eaten crap for 15 months! Good luck and believe you can do it.

Also I have to ask, I went to this lilypie site and I made a ticker thingy and I am unsure how to put it onto here like you other people have. In very simple terms, can you please tell me what I have to do to use it here? Thanks.

lol happygerbera, Im the same as you! have no idea how to do that either. Ive even got the tiara in BL and havent been able to wear it as I was to embarrased to ask for help

Yo need to copy the code from the ticker and then come into EBB and click on 'my stuff' and select 'edit profile' and then add the code to your signature. Preview it and if it looks right then submit it.

thanks johnsuton, i am limited with exercise due to a leg injury, so running is out, as is anything else that requires long periods on my feet.

Tips for weight loss:-
First you need to plan and identify your goal of weight loss, Then chose all the foods items which have less or no protein and fat. Neglect all the oily and fat foods like meat, egg, chicken, fish and other foods items... Doing some simple but meaning full exercise for 30 mints, Go on walk, By doing exercise the fat level will decrease quickly, Drink water and juice mostly,

Here are some effective and easy weight loss tips:
Try a vegan/vegetarian diet. Eat lots of Fiber. Eat smaller servings. Drink green tea to boost your metabolism. Do around 20 minutes of Yoga EVERY day. Work out twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.

Well You need to follows the simple and understandable tips . I think you do not need to use calorie counter sites and other ways to lose weight which is intended to waste your time and money . You need to try following tips:
Avoid fats and other foods Drink Milk without fats, water and fruit juices You also need to get exercise daily

Use more raw vegetables and fresh fruits in your foods as compare to fried and fast foods. Drink more water. Drink fresh fruit juices. Take green tea. Take green vegetables soups. Use olive oil and fish oil.
