Talk about learn the hard way, both kids got tummy bug, Mr3 started sick on Wednesday afternoon, but had a quite night.
Miss5 I woke too at midnight last night sick all over her bed, carried on till about 2.30, but was up every hour after.

No "your turn" in this house to deal with it, which was a 1st for me. I'm not the best around sick so none of us have really eaten.

Just waiting for my turn to come, got them longer this week till lunch time tomorrow, so I'm just hoping I can hang on till then or even better not at all.

Oh Fun!

Yeah sometimes you just have to harden up around vomit and poo's and wees and just clean up and get on with it.

I've always found activated charcoal good for tummy bugs, you can get it from your chemist and make sure you don't take it with meds but the principle of it is that you take the wee tablet and it absorbs all the nasties in the tummy and reduces their numbers and makes them travel through and pass out.

Talk to the chemist though as I'm not a medical practitioner.

I first came across it when working as an ambulance officer and taking a 1 yo to A&E for codeine poisoning, small child was found with the pill case open and several tablets in mouth.

If I were you I'd take some now so you can have some decent child free time.

Yeah just thanks, still very tired.
I started on Sat morn also, kids mum came to collect them a little earlier so that was good. After they left I woke up about 3 hours later and started to panic where they were, then had a very vague memory of them going LOL. The old heart really races when you think you lost your own kids.

Missed all the fireworks, was lying in bed all sad watching some movie, about the only part of the day I was awake besides the toilet runs lol.

Oh dear Dad O 2 that sounds horrid.

Thank goodness you could just blob out alone without having to look after the kids.

Touch wood it has been a long, long time since we have had the vomiting bug in this household.

Onwards and upwards this week ahey!

yep know alllll about that. i reckon the worst part about doing it alone is there is no one to empty the bowl or grab you an extra towel etc...so you're trying to comfort puking child on your knee, get puke off of floor/bed/cleaned up, remake their bed, empty bowl, get them some water and a flannel...ahhhh and just when you start to get sorted they a.miss the bowl or b.other child starts. FUN smile so lucky that their mum was able to come and pick them up its the pits when you're sick and you still have to look after children.
im a bit anal about V&D bugs now bcos of that, i wash bleach/disinfect eeeeeverything anyones sick/goes toilet/touches anything...dooor handles/walls/toilets/bowls etc etc and use that disinfectant air spray too lol - have managed to get through the last two V&D bugs without catching them so hopefully i've got the hang of my aspetic technique lol -touchwood
