Haven't ventured onto this thread yet but have a question for you lovely wise ladies here!

DS2 - 8months, has been coughing at night for the last few weeks I guess. I didn't notice it too much, but it has been going on for ages & making him quite unsettled & waking him up.
He has had bronchilitis twice this winter, not too bad at all, but there. But not a big surprise really with the allergies in our family.
I just gave him some ventolin & the cough now sounds a bit "cleaner"??? IYKWIM?? Hard to describe really I guess but not a normal "flu" sounding cough.
Could this be asthma???

No not reflux, very lucky with this bubs that he hasn't had any reflux. He has a slight rattle in his lungs too, but I don't think its really the bronchilitis again because he is fine during the day, just at night he coughs so so much. Last night it was alot frown

That was the reason that our paed first prescribed flixotide for our girls (and ventolin if they get a bug) because of the night coughing. Girls sleep a LOT better now, and I haven't heard a cough at night for over six months!! Which considering it was sooooo constant is awesome. smile

Thanks for that Dolphin, DH asked me again last night when am I going to take DS2 to the doctor about this cough. It really is going on too long, I just don't want it to be asthma! Have my head in the sand a bit I think
