I am 47 years old and was diagnosed with Crohns Disease 5 years ago (although I had symptoms for 15 years and my Doc told me it was IBD). I am on 75mg Azathioprine and dopress 50mg. Although the Crohns is in remission I have been experiencing chronic fatigue, and am now wondering if it is perimenopause that is the cause. I dont have the energy to exercise unfortunately, and due to the lack of energy am not now working. According to blood tests I've been in perimenopause for the last 2 years. The tiredness has increased and the Doc has now started me on Vit.B injections. I wondered if any women who have experienced the same can suggest anything that can help? I'm getting desperate to get on top of this tiredness. Thanks.

Hay Dottie. Have you had your iron levels checked ? I take it you have, for they would have been checked along with your B12 levels ? Anaemia causes crushing fatigue and is often associated with Crohn's. Menopause sucks. Crohn's sucks. Big hugs hon, and keep us posted. grouphug This site is GREAT support

It's common to have depression with these sorts of conditions...
talk to your Doctor about all your symptoms. Good Luck
