wave Hi everyone!

Although we are lucky enough to have our separate MTB boards,a few of us thought that it would be nice to be able to continue supporting each other like we have for years on the IVF #1 thread, and talk about our pregnancies, without being insenstive to those still waiting for their BFP's on the IF board.

While all of our journeys here have been different, they have each been as heartbreaking as each others, and although it may seem to others that the hard work is over now, being pregnant after IVF, particaularly after previous losses, is still hard work! Its a time full of paranoia and uncertaintly as well as elation and joy. There is also the feeling of guilt that while you are celebrating your wonderful news, others who you have been close to on the IF rollercoaster, are still trying so hard to achieve their dreams.

So, anyway, I hope to see all you on here! I couldnt have gotten through the last 3 years without the incredible support and inspiration from my fellow EBBers and I hope to keep gaining from that during my pregnancy! So many of us have been lucky enough to get a BFP in the last year and I KNOW that there are going to be many more to come in the near future! luck

Hey MM wave

This is a fantastic idea!!
I still feel paranoid about my pregnancy now and then when I haven't had a boot in the tummy for a while but I think the paranoid thinking is gonna last for ever, all part of it I guess.
Hows your pregnancy going? Do you have an anatomy scan booked??
And yes haven't there been alot of BFP's lately, so good to see!! yes

wave Hi Libra, I cant take credit, I just high jacked Freddos idea! Congratulations on your little boy! (I think I congratulated you already - baby brain crazy )

Everything is going well so far! Had a shaky start but things seem to be gliding along now. MS still comes and bites me in the arse every now and then though lol! Just started feeling those little fluttery bubble feelings of the baby moving this past week. I suppose one good thing about having done IVF a billion times is that you become very intune with your uterus giggle Anatomy scan booked for a few weeks time, only natural that I am hoping for a girl, but Malakai would actually love a little brother so its a win-win!

Good to hear everythings going well, isn't that so true about being intune with your uterus!! I have only done half the amount of transfers than you but I new this time I was pregnant before my BT results came, it definately felt different.
I never really got much of those fluttery feelings, didn't really feel much untill I was getting the big kicks which was about 20 weeks, apparently because my placenta is at the front.
Are you going to tell us the sex or is it gonna be a surprise?
I found out the other day I have to have a growth scan in about 4 weeks for an ob appointment at the hospital. My FS at Repromed said he likes to send everyone for a check up simply because its an IVF pregnancy, so I'm really stoked I get to have another scan, I thought that was it for me.

Fingers crossed shes not early then fingerscrossed

I had GP at repromed, the hospital have put me off once already because its not really a high risk pregnancy just a precaution. And yes I have heard they don't like to let IVF pregnancies go overdue I keep meaning to ask my MW to, I hope its true I really don't want to go overdue! Just can't wait to have our wee man in my arms!

Hello ladies!

I love the introduction post MM-very well said!

Libra, that's great you get to have another scan! And so nice to be able to chat with you in here-I always appreciated you popping in to IVF #1 with your supportive comments, that goes for all of you actually!

Tryin, wow only 4 weeks to go that's awesome!Hope you get all settled into your new place just in time smile

I had my second HCG on saturday which was a nice rise at 2084, and other than that I'm just trying to stay sane and not google anything that will freak me out. I've already googled toxoplasmosis because we have a cat....so now she's banned from coming on the bed lol! And have been reading through a pregnancy book and also scaring myself silly...sometimes I think it's almost better to be un-informed IYKWIM!
First scan is booked for 24th May, I'll be 8 weeks smile

Roger that!

Did any of you continue on with an exercise regime in the first few weeks? I was doing gym classes 2-3 times a week and stopped just before transfer....and now I want to go back but at the same time I'm terrified that it might be too much. But everything I've read says you should be able to continue with your usual routine....I dunno. Was going to maybe try aqua-fit tomorrow so it's lower impact but I have this irrational fear that I'm going to lift my leg up and a pessary or 2 will float out into the pool whistling rofl

I stopped exercising except walking Janey, but thats just because I am paranoid, and I was only doing zumba anyway - Im not as fit as you sound!

Nice to see you all on here. I went to bed hours ago but having my usual nightly insomnia!

OMG i hear u on the 10cm dilated, I saw a picture full view of a babies head about to come out, its pretty scary!! afraid

Janey I didn't excercise I was just far to tired in the first trimester. There are proper aqua classes for pregnant women i've heard, lol to the pessaries.
Is your HCG of 2084 only your second BT?? Did you transfer both of your embies or just one??

MM hope you managed to get some sleep in the end!

Yeah I have thought about the exercise thing all night, I think I'll worry too much so might just do walking and swimming in the gym pool.
Libra-nope just one put back but you're not the first person to mention that! It's still possible for the embryo to split though isn't it? I guess we'll find out in 3 weeks. Maybe it's just cos me and DH are both giants so it will prob be a giant baby with giant HCG levels (my sisters and I were huge-2 of us were 10lb and one was 11 lb-eek!)

Janeys BT was a day late and her second BT was 4 days later not two like at our clinic Libra. It is possible for them to split, but I dont think thats as common with 3 dayers as it is with blasts, and I dont think your numbers are actually THAT high, just nice and strong. Then again... Im no expert giggle Just an obsessive googler!

I am at work so better run blush

Oh right!I didn't realise some clinics did BT 2 days later...that's kind of a relief then to be honest! MM you have my permission to do all googling on my behalf... giggle (seeing as I'm trying to stay away from it at the moment....!)

Was gonna say, thats a huge HCG compared to mine which was in the 700's. But does sound like a nice strong HCG Janey, your wee embie has nestled in real well!!

Hey guys did anyone get spotting in their first few weeks?
Everything's been absolutely clear until I suddenly went to the toilet this morning and discovered spotting...it's just brownish at the moment but a tiny bit of red in there....I'm trying to stay calm as I know it's very common but gawd it's scary!
Any reassurance most welcome....

Janey I had brown spotting, and my clinic was not concerned at all, neither was my midwife. Give yours a call for some reassurance.

Mine ended up being quite a bleed, but turned out to be a sub chorionic hematoma which apparently are very common (the things you learn on this journey eh)

Hugs babe, its a scary journey, but we are all here to support you and everything is going to be fine heart
