I love that recipe too Poppit. Yummy served warm with custard :qfrog: Have you tried freezing it? She says you can, but I can't imagine it defrosting all that well?

Oh cool, good to know thanks! I love how all her recipes are so huge giggle Makes it easy if you're making a meal for someone else, to just keep half for yourselves and give the other half away.

Poppit, I love that vanilla plum cake recipe. Always delish and we use all sorts of fruit in it.

The slow baked pork and apricot recipe is really good (from second book I think).

Have made choc eclairs a lot over summer too using her choux pastry recipe and the ganache and they have been super easy and delish!

GOing to make sticky buns for DD2s birthday end of this month. might have to try the sachets of yeast and usually use the jars. I find it much better to heat the milk a bit and slowly add the yeast so it doesn't clump and stir it for much longer than she says.

Mmm I loooove choc eclairs, have resisted making hers though as I just know I would eat them all rofl

How did you go with the sachets of yeast??

Let us know what you make from the new book RMS yes I must dust it off and try some more things.

I made Caramalised Onions from TFRC last week, which I have since used in a quiche and with marinated steak, mushrooms, courgetter and feta on ciabatta buns drooling2 Also made her Crumble Topping, froze half of it, but I haven't actually used any of it yet giggle At least it keeps for 4 weeks in the fridge wink

DD2 LOVES her caramelised onions. She would eat and eat them (and boy can you tell the next day on her breath lol). I tend to serve them with steak or sausages.

HAven't tried the sachets yet. Didn't end up making for birthday and I'm dieting now so don't want the temptation. In a couple of weeks I might allow myself a few smile

Fair enough Wuz, I'm in the same boat with the dieting. DH tried the crumble topping tonight with fresh peach. Said it was yum. Going to friends tomorrow night for a bbq so going to make the Blueberry Crumble cake for dessert

The blueberry crumble cake was a hit! I tried a tiny wee sliver drooling2

I also made her Thai Pork Sticks (except with beef mince) to take to the bbq. They were super yum, will be doing those again. From her Busy Lives book.

Made the Baked Ricotta and Apricot Cheesecakes tonight. Very nice. Worked out the calories and only about 260cals per serve (we halved recipe which was more than enough for 4 ramekins) - for those doing MFP smile

So I learnt something today about the cinnamon scrolls!

Mine never look like hers - always a bit rough around the edges uneven and not realy round!!

Well today I thought I'm going to give them a gentle squish down when they were in the baking tray and now they look exactly like the picture - round and perfect!

Totally stoked!

It surely is delicious with meatballs!! drooling2

Mum just got some cheap packs of smaller tomatoes (normally tries to get the beefsteak ones but no one around here seem to have any in last few weeks!) at one of the fruit and vege places - so got 2 packs of about 20 tomatoes each for $3.

A local place was offering pick your own tomatoes for $1.50 per kg last weekend. Should have checked if it was on this weekend, I forgot!
