I forgot that I made the Lemongrass and Chilli Chicken, yummy and really easy. I also made the Creamy Coleslaw - it was nice but actually a bit too creamy (I'd cut down on the dressing next time).

Oh dear deux enfants- I was going to make that for lunch, where do you reckon it went wrong?

Is pork belly really fatty, I just can't imagine eating it but it is meant to be quite a luxury item isn't it?

Pork Belly has become a bit of a luxury meat it seems. Lots of restaurants etc have it but it is quite a fatty meat... but yummy all the same.

I am going to have to try the sweet dough. I notice it says it can be done in the breadmaker so maybe I'll give it a whirl in that.

KiwiMum, it is super easy to do by hand (I have a breadmaker too) so I'd probably just do that. It has about 6 or more cups of flour which I think might be a bit much for a breadmaker - it looked like too much dough to me.

Tonight I am making the eclairs to use up the last of the ganache. I'm going to do 2 types though - one will have plain cream and then ganache on top, the other will have the cream and lemon honey mix (like the puff) and strawberries then dusted with icing.

I might also do the potato salad with the capers and mint.

Thanks for that, I ended up doing it by hand anyway as my breadmaker paddle was stuck and it was super easy. Its rising as we speak. Yum Yum

The potato salad with capers and mint is really nice. I forgot to mention that one. The dressing keeps for a while too.

Ooh I have capers ready for when I make the salsa verde so that potato salad will be a go for tonights tea I think.
Need to start growing some mint now though as well as many other things that she uses in the book.

Yum to the eclairs too and Wuz you sound like you are super creative with your cooking so look forward to trying some of your additional ideas once I get the recipes down pat.

I just made the sticky buns... they are AMAZING!!! We're supposed to be taking them camping with us tomorrow - but i'm not sure how long they'll last! DP already buzzing furiously around them.. longing sighs coming from his pie-hole..

This surely is the biggest hit in cooking since the old Edmunds!?

I'm going to have to make the sticky buns now. Will either make them this afternoon or tomorrow morning I think. Is it easy to tell when the milk and butter mixture is at the right temp to add the yeast and sugar?

MJ, according to the recipe you just melt butter then add the milk, which brings it to the right temp for the yeast to be added. So I would use it straight away.

I am going to make the sticky buns now. Really should buy the book as it all sounds so yummy.

Oh YUM!

I am eating one now that is almost too hot to eat its so recently out of the oven. Yum Yum Yum.

With the butter and milk mix I did have to keep in on the heat for a few minutes to get it to temp... I just stuck my finger in and when it felt like I could hardly feel anything I turned the burner off and sorted the other ingredients. I think it was because my milk was straight from the fridge
