I used Milk oaties and you couldn't tell they had oats in them at all. In fact DD1s little friend who stayed over & had brekky with us didn't even know until I told her they had "porridge" in them. So maybe try Milk Oaties?

really mine weren't gritty at all?infact id describe them as quite light and creamy sort of texture - i had thought they would be the 1st time i had them tho and thought err that wont be very nice- but they werent/and were nice smile , maybe depends what type of rolled oats you use? I used Harraways ones that just come in an 800g packet and take like 2min in the microwave sort (aka quite processed lol) (i even chucked them into pikelets that i made the other day and nobody noticed mwahahaha) maybe if your rolled oats arent so processed you need to make the mix up then let it sit for a wee bit b4 cooking??
my super fussy eater didnt notice so i didn't tell him (if he knew he wouldn't eat them)

i had pams rolled oats.

it was the last of the pack, so if i buy creamy oats next time, i will give them another go.

yes these are great. Thanks for sharing

I was thinking they'd be good for school lunches. Could make up a large batch and freeze in packs ready to grab out of the freezer in the morning.
