You OK? I know you are further South from the Earthquake centre but believe it was felt down your way, hope you and your family are OK. grouphug

Enjoy your trip to Dunners (if you made it)

Hi Annie,

WOW!!!!! I just saw the first pics on our eveening news! I had no idea there were that severity of quakes in NZ. I knew there were lots of minor ones.

It may be -30 or -40 here in winter, but we don't get earthquakes or hurricanes (one is destined for our East Coast tomorrow), I count my blessings.

My hopes and prayers for all involved in the 'quake.

Gus

aww you folks are such darlings!!! thank you so much for caring!!! WE ARE FINE!! quake was a 7 hour drive from where we live (we are in southland) so we have apparently felt the 'fringe' of the quakes and thats it...i havent felt any personally. we were in dunedin today with the lids hence the reason why i havent answered any of your calls...lol

the damage is way more than i expected...heres a link to some pics...and its rather wowie! http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/photos/4095395/7-1-earthquake-photos

please keep the folks of canterbury in your prayers...there are so many that are terrified. i have a friend up there and the only thing wrong with her house is she cant flush her toilet...im just glad shes ok! no loss of life, always a complete bonus!

Hi Kim, glad to know you weren't anywhere near Action Central yesterday.

Getting the car out this morning preparing to take off for Church, i heard the Prime Minister say that he was impressed with the smooth way that the Emergrncy and Civil Defence System swung into place. He also said that the mock emergency practices, although at the time people considerred them frivolous - certainly proved there worth and will continue.

One thing that really touched me yesterday was - I am a member of the Tibetan Spaniel Website, and one of the American Members who make up the majority of posters had not noticed me posting since the news of the Earthquake had hit the States, and they were concerned for me.I was chuffed that someone on the other side of the World cared.
