with my hubby and i...we had such a nice time! we went to the speights ale house for our celebration meal and it was just lovely. i perused the menu carefully and elected to go with pork and vegetables and we shared an entree of garlic bread. 1 glass of wine and it was a really nice sav...fantastic! afterwards we went for coffee at my husbands ex boss's place and that was cool too.

my lids behaved well for the babysitter...we got home and she still had a full head of hair!! i was impressed!! my lids are gorgeous, i love them all so much, and its nice to know that they were well behaved for the wee lass we hired...it was her first experience sitting for us...i dropped her home and she announced to her mother that babysitting my kids made her feel "OH SO GROWN UP NOW!" was really cute!

i tested my BG's when i got home, i knew they would be elevated a bit but was pleasantly surprised to see they werent TOO bad at 8.6 ... this morning the numbers were 6.8 so im really pleased!

achieved 17 circuts today....3 more to go and i am at my goal! that will only take 2 weeks or so all going well. got my green prescription info in the mail the other day...im gonna have a go at aqua jogging soon...just gotta find me something to wear in the pool...just dont think a bikini would be overly appropriate right about now!!!

take care and have a good one!

So pleased you had a great night out, we have a Speights Ale House here (well they are everywhere) been along a few times.

Sounds like you have well behaved kids love2

Good that your BG's weren't over the top, you are allowed to celebrate special ocassions.

Wont be too long and you will be fitting that bikini whistling

Hi Kim , glad you enjoyed the celebration.

Just goes to show you, one can still go and enjoy oneself when you are Type 2.- What will make you cringe is when someone who knows you are Type 2 , outs you at the top of their voice and says"YOU CAN'T EAT THAT YOU'RE A DIABETIC" and everybody stares and treats you like you have Leprosy.I just hate those types. My responce is usually, "Just watch me".

Any chance in borrowing your babysitter, we have a Granddaughters Wedding on the 18th and need someone to sit our baby

you know...i had that exact thing happen to me bryan! yes, im on a social network site, and i was saying on there that we were going out yadda yadda yadda...and i had a personal friend of mine write this...."Yum Speights Ale House is awesome !!! Best cheesecake ever - and yes, I know, you can't have it.... bummer ;-{"

i couldnt believe she said that!!! it DID make me feel like i had leprosy or something like that but i thought...stuff it, and i replied with "actually i CAN have it....so long as i am careful but im not a sweet eater really so probably will look at an entree or something like that. im allowing myself a treat, because i have been so so good...this is a oncer as you only celebrate a 10th wedding anni once (and i believe for us) in a lifetime. so why not go and enjoy and let my hair down? even tho im feeling guilty already, im not prepared to allow it to get to me! im not going to go overboard either...and i might just enjoy me a glass of wine too!" so *pokes tongue out" there!

bikini annie??? BAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! darling, i dont think the world would ever be ready for that one!!! i'll just stick to my bike shorts and a loose tee....LOL!

bryan, id be THRILLED to look after your baby! my lids would just love to have that precious pup in our house! pup would be so well cared for and loooooooooooooooooooooooved to bits! jealous much!!

take care folks....we are off to dunnydin tomorrow for a day trip with the lids. i made them save their wee bits of pocket money so they can buy themselves something they want and they are OH SO EXCITED!!!!! we cant wait either, we all need a break from this place so its off to bed for me in a few....6am start, 7am on the road...its gonna be an AWESOME day im sure! (on the proviso that the roads arent snowed in!!! its dang cold here!)
