I have had ongoing problems with my bowel for the last 15 years, diagnosed with a bad case of IBS and have finally had a colonoscopy. Good news- no apparent crohns or colitis ( my mum has had ulcerative colitis her whole life) but I did have polyps which had to be removed,some small but one worrying sizeable one, which has no doubt been the cause of my constant bleeding problem.
I have to see the doctor in 2 weeks for results.

Has anyone else had these before? Do they come back after they've been removed? What should I expect?

Most polyps are of a type that will not develop into a malignancy. The Doctor will have yours tested to see what type they are. Yes, they do recur. Likely from now on you will be looking at semi regular steel eels.
