Milo, I wasn't going to chime in with our dismal history because I was ttc over 40 with high FSH so it's no indication really of what others should reasonably expect. But just to keep you company ...

We did 7 IVFs, 2 cancelled for nil or one-follie response, 5 made it to EC and beyond, a total of 13 fresh embryos transferred (4 in the final and successful IVF), plus 4-5 natural pgs in between that all ended in tears (usually mercifully early).
We ended up with fraternal twins from our 7th cycle, after 2 years of IVFing around, when 2 of the 4 embies stuck (and actually a 3rd one was a blighted ovum), at age 42.3. They were born about a month before I turned 43.
