DS#1 wore one until 4yrs at least-probably longer for spilly food..was a shocking eater, spat and threw everything so needed a bib

probably around 3.5-4yrs ish..dependant on the child, if they were a runaway..maybe longer hahaha. i used to take the double buggy to pick ds#1 up from school/kindy bcos his legs were tired he loved just sitting next to DS#2 and having a ride (lol which always cracks me up bcos as a 2yr old i sold his buggy bcos he would NEVER sit in it smile ), same for at the mall, I used to take the buggy and he'd sit in it sometimes and walk sometimes..prob until around 5.5yrs haha smile contrary child. With #2 the last time i used the buggy was when we went to oz last year (he was nearly 3yrs) (i didnt take one with me thinking he'd be fine, 2nd day there i bought one lol..but havnt used it at all since we came so am about to sell it), basically he's not a runaway, he holds my hand, and he doesnt get tired legs so we dont really bother with it anymore.

similar to the bib really, dependant on child and their eating/running away/up down from the table behaviour my DS#1 was in a highchair until 4 and a bit both at home and out..well not always when out as usually i cared less then, but pretty much always at home. shocking eater at the best of times..so i wasnt even going to start to deal with table issues until we got him eating okayish, while DS#2 was hardly using it at home or out come 22-24months old.

Whatever is easiest for Mummy/child as long as both are happy then no worries I reckon yes

I'd say my answer for most of those things would be between 2 - 3 years.

I stopped putting bibs on Carlos sometime when he was 2 as he wasn't getting them dirty anymore (he LOVES food so doesn't like to drop much giggle )

I'd take out the stroller sometimes when I knew we were going to have to walk for AGES and he'd get knackered and he was heavy to hold until he was prob just over 3 or maybe 3 and a half when I sold it as we weren't using it.

I sold the highchair earlier as although I LOVED it, I decided that he could eat at a little table I bought him instead as it was just him and I when he was little so worked perfectly. I think he was about 2 then.

Highchairs at places - if he could fit in then I used them. He's always been on the big side so he stopped fitting sometime between 2 and 3 I think grin

For wearing a bib at meal timesUntil they can eat without creating too much mess on their clothes. Dependant on child, but I would say 2-2.5?

For being strapped into the stroller in busy places such as the mall.Again, dependant on child. I would let a younger child (18m) walk independently if I knew they could listen and not run away. The size thing might not be a good indication, DS could still fit comfortable in the buggy at 4!!

For sitting in a highchair at homeUntil they can be trusted to sit on a chair nicely, and get up and down by themselves. If I had a small table chair, I would use it now for DD, she's not particularly keen on the highchair.

For sitting in a highchair when out and about such as a cafe or food court.Perhaps a little older to minimise mess?

For wearing a bib at meal times
DS1 is 2 3/4 and still wears a bib when eating something messy such as spag bol or yoghurt. Other than that he's a pretty tidy eater so I'm not too worried if he doesn't wear a bib and he'll often remove it anyway. DS2 on the other hand is an extremely messy eater and I can see myslef packing a bib for him when he goes to school giggle

For being strapped into the stroller in busy places such as the mall
DS1 is absolutely hopeless at walking in shopping malls. We always take the buggy because he'll most likely try to wander off or stop to play with any switches he sees and if he doesn't get his own way he'll drop to the ground and have a tanty rolleyes .

For sitting in a highchair at home
When DS1 had just turned 2 he suddenly decided one day that he didn't want to sit in the highchair anymore so we bought him a booster seat with straps. He liked it for all of about 2 days and then insisted on sitting at his little table and chairs. That lasted about 6 months and now he's happy to sit at the big table with us. DS2 is still in a highchair and I don't think he'll be graduating from it for some time.

For sitting in a highchair when out and about such as a cafe or food court.
DS1 sits on a regular chair at the table with us. He is happy to stay put so long as there's yummy food around giggle . DS2 still uses a highchair. Am quite glad it's worked out this way as I think I'd feel too guilty taking up 2 highchairs as they can often be as scarce as hen's teeth when it's really busy.

For wearing a bib at meal times DD1 2.5 hasn't worn a bib for a while BUT... she has breakfast (weetbix or porrodge) in her PJ's and they go in the wash each day and so does her top after dinner. Lunch is generally a sandwhich or finger food so not messy

For being strapped into the stroller in busy places such as the mall.
She normally sits in the push chair without a strap but she has to behave. teh straps are used as 'time out' in essence as they go on if she is not behaving. In saying that she mostly tends to walk beside me if we are out shopping etc but the treat of being strapped into the buggy helps with her behaving well giggle

For sitting in a highchair at home hasn't used one for a while but we have bar stools at the bench where we have our family meals so she is nice and high

For sitting in a highchair when out and about such as a cafe or food court. we dont often go to cafe's so they are a treat and she tends to sit nicely smile

DS (2.5yrs) does not wear a bib any more. he is happy to sit in stroller without being belted in but he often choses to do it up.
no long sits in a high chair either at home or when out at a cafe. likes to sit at the table like his big sis
