Congrats Ruth! so happy to hear of your BFP kiss
For this pregnancy I had hCG bloods done every 3 days until the second scan at 6w4d confirmed the heartbeat. Then my docs had me carry on for a couple of weeks with more hCG's but I didn't ask for the results!
I can so understand you wanting to have some control over the process. Dont forget to let us know what your results are...
Wishing you a totally boring uneventful 8ish months grin

I am doing ok... this whole 'rest' thing is not good for paranoia wacko and only my wriggly girl is keeping me sane. Scan tomorrow then OB on Fri. Will let you all know how it goes smile

Hope all Mums and bubs are doing ok blowkiss

Thanks HiD

I never had HCGs done, MW said not to bother about it, it will only put me through unnecessary worry.

Afternoon all wave

How are all mums & bubs doing today?

Had my scan this morning.... bubs is doing really well cloud9 measuring in the 95th percentile for dates so that is GREAT!
My cervical length hasn't changed since last week & the doppler study of the umbilical cord/placenta/uterine arteries went well too (no signs of pre-e!).. bubs kept the sonographer on his toes though by grabbing and playing with the umbilical cord when he was trying measure blood flow through it rofl

My kidneys are scarred (whats new rolleyes ) apart from that no change so thats a relief smile

See the OB tomorrow to see when (if) I can resume 'normal' life....

hi stekeljodcam ... yup it came back normal, although on the high side of normal. saw the doc friday, seems like they're going to ramp up the monitoring now. in the next couple of weeks i have to do it all again - scan, bloods, urine tests, and another glucose test, this time the two hour one.

i don't mind at all though, i'm happy to have the docs keeping such a close eye on me and bubs. see the doc again on feb 12th.

Becky GD isnt that bad except for the fact that all I felt like was chocolate and pies. giggle You may find that the fasting test brings you down into normal ranges so fingersx thats the case. It also sounds like you have a great OB (coz gd makes you high risk i got put in under the high risk clinic here and the ob was a real w@nker) wanted me to go overdue, whereas in Oz they induce at 38 weeks I was super grumpy.

Oh Feck I mean I hope you dont have it!!
