Oh bec GF is awful, and i reckon it still affects me sometimes. Done 25min of Zumba, gonna have to work my way back up to 45min again. Ive been wondering what i can do for lunch, i hate having the same thing everyday so i find it hard to do lunches, plus i don't do sammies, but i love toasties, as we have a toastie machine at work. A wrap sounds yumo and i love tuna so i can take a wee container for different things in, as i could never take it all made up, as its the same as sammies...yes i know im weird about sammies :gigle: Ill have to look at soup options come winter, i don't like homemade soups either,, but i love kings soups, but i do get sick of them fast as well think im a bit fussy.

Hummus recipe (tastes like a much higher fat, shop bought version) 1 can chickpeas plus 100mls liquid from the can 1 tsp crushed garlic 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp ground cumin 1 tbsp tahini juice of 1 lemon 6 sundried tomatoes (in oil) 1 tsp of oil from the tomato jar pepper to taste
Blitz in a food processor until smooth - I find that my food processor does a rubbish job on the sundried tomatoes so either chop these really small or use the jug attachment if your food processor has one. If you need a little more liquid, add a bit more of the liquid from the can.
Add about 15 stoned olives just before you finish blitzing for a variation.

Bec glandular fever is the worst!!! you poor thing Mistwood, where do you buy your tahini from? Ive heard really good things about it and some even use it as a marinade on fish, I know Melbourne is different but I can't even work out where in the supermarket to even look (I guess I should just ask :)) Ive had a bit of a treat day, but I think Ive done good treat choices, there is a fantastic burger place near my art class, the boys and I meet up with DH for a burger afterwards and I asked them for the burger without the bread, which is basically grilled meat and a salad with all their lovely homemade pickles and mayo as a dipping option rather than plastered on, so was pleased with that, I did have some potato chips, but they are yummy chunky ones and I haven't had a potato for weeks now, so was super yum and fixed that craving for something yummy, tasty and not made by me We eat a bit of rice so I have changed to a really nice long grain brown rice and its yum and keeping me fuller at night.. TM im the same with lunch, struggle to think of something different and yum, I have been having lots of salads but getting to the point of forcing myself to have them since I can't think of anything else. DH is off on Sunday for a week, so I will go back to my lean cuisine dinners, which are yum and low cal, I don't cook a main dinner when hes away, I cook something nice for the boys and then have a heat and eat meal. Right bed time... off to the gym in the morning

Rice paper rolls, followed by wraps would be my two favourite lunches.
Tahini - I found mine in the chiller section of the supermarket - near the cottage cheese/dips and spreads

Yep, tahini is either in the chiller section with things like pesto, or in jars in the organics section of our supermarket.

Tahini is pureed sesame seeds. If you can't be bothered to buy it specially, just use peanut butter in its place. Only problem is that it then is not allergy safe, whereas hummus is often my 'take to allergy friends place' food.
Stekel don't beat yourself up about it, just make the decision that you are back on board on Monday, give yourself the weekend off guilt free if you need to have a break for your motivation.

HI all...sounds like everyone is having an up and down week. My week has been okay, hoping the scales are down again on Monday, as they have been steadily going down all week, but just my luck and they will probably jump up on Monday!
Went to a function today - a whole day of scrapbooking, and it was take a plate, but I was very good and made myself a chicken roll and then took a plate of goodies to share, but stuck to my chicken roll and then an apple a bit later on - so feeling good with my choices!
Then came home and made Butter Chicken for the kids and hubby and it was mighty fine - with a couple of popadums thrown in, instead of my afternoon toast with peanut butter
Onwards to Monday! - Good luck everyone.

Thanks ladies btw you can just call me Kel its easier maybe I should change my name....again....to make it a bit easier hmmmm.
I did a protein only day yesterday well in my mind it was protein only but a few chippies snuck in there (4) at lunch time and a tbs of homemade raspberry ice cream at dinner. Not much difference on the scales so need to strengthen my resolve me thinks.
I am sorry it seems there are a few of us having a rough time of it of late I know this is just a point in time where I need to suck it up and move on but find myself sabbotaging myself does that makes sense? My internal dialogue goes something like this: 'Ohhh yum that looks goood' "you dont need it" 'i know but I want it I have been sooo good look at how far I have come already' "thats right you want to keep those numbers going DOWN" OH SCREW IT YUM.... How do I turn this around? ANY ideas?
Sorry for memememe

EM Well done on those positive food choices you must feel so proud of yourself that is a huge deal and I must say I am proud that you stuck to your guns.

How do I turn this around? ANY ideas? I can totally relate to this Kel... you've just gotta make sure the 'good' voice wins everytime! Have alternatives you can have that will curb the craving. Much better here now after a few days off track... was so good yesterday and back on track, yay! Does anyone have protein shakes? I usually have an Optifast for breakfast but just wondering if its better moneywise to get a container of protein shake powder... just want to get one that I know tastes nice-ish.
