excited Yay!

I'm sure you could get a special charm made for your pandora by a jeweller here, or have the diamond put into one you buy.

You can get rings valued at any manufacturing jeweller, costs about $50. Check with your insurance company how often you should get them done as we didn't and the value of gold went up so much that when DH lost his weding ring we couldn't afford to get it re-made (it was valued about 5 years before he lost it).

Yay yay yay for you!

there are so many gorgeous rings on here!

here are my wedding and engagement rings

the engagement ring was chosen by DH who listened when i said i wanted an antique looking ring so he had it made - citrus coloured tourmaline claw set with pave set diamonds down the sides. the tourmaline is quite large and sits high so used to hit it on things regularly and after one hit i cracked the stone. it could not be replaced with the exact colour so the stone in it now is slightly darker frown
my wedding band was also custom made and it is a gold band with pave set diamonds that finish in line with the ones on the engagement ring

when i get an eternity ring i will get one that is the same as my wedding band i think as the curve on engagement ring makes walking into a shop and finding the right fit just too hard.

Just got my new rings today, so I thought I would show them off.

I just love them! So thank-you HG for starting this thread and inspiring me to do it.
I had diamonds sunk into my wedding band, and the eternity ring has 8 diamonds for 8 years of marriage.

Oh, so many gorgeous rings! I fully have sparkly diamond envy. I don't have an engagement or wedding ring, boo hoo, but I did get this for my thirtieth. This year marks 10 years together, wonder if I can wheedle my way into another ring? Luckily my dad buys my mum beautiful jewellery, so I know one day I will have some gorgeous rocks!

Lovely rings ladies! Here is my engagement and wedding ring. Wedding ring looks like a curtain ring its so thin... but it was the fashion at the time 7 years ago in Europe. I do regret getting it so thin.

Both rings are 18ct gold, diamonds total 1.33cts. Just had my engagement ring valued for insurance purposes last week. Setting is quite high and it catches on everything. I have so many long sleeved tops with holes on the underside of the right sleeve as the ring snags when I fold my arms. Have also accidentally scratched my childrens faces - the claws are too sharp or something. Can these be smoothed off or anything?

I have had this problem too and asked 2 different jewellers. Both said no because it makes the claws thinner and more likely to bend or break.

I had claws that were catching and one broke and I lost the diamond. I went to Guthries in Queen Street (they make jewellery and are in a building on the 3rd floor. You have to make an appointment to visit). Anyway, Helen Guthrie made new claws using platinum and they are forked so they hold the ring more securely, but also they don't catch. Maybe you could phone and inquiry about your claws and what can be done re scratching/catching, etc.

My claws have never caught. Once when I had some work done to my engagement ring the jeweller old me to bring it in if it caught on anything and he'd fix it. I don't think it's something you need to put up with.

my rings.... it's hard to take a photo of your hand!
my engagement ring is a beach pebble held on a beaten silver band with gold wire. the wedding band is plain gold and belonged to my great nana. She was married at 16 died at 96 and was only jewellery she ever wore so very special. The wooden ring my dh made for our 5 year wedding anniversary this year. totally shocked at him doing that!! As were his sisters, one says 'oh, didn't realise he was romantic like that' no... neither did I!

I'm not really a diamonds girl. although if it was a honking huge sparkler I might be turned! But if he had spent mucho $$$ on a ring I would have been not so impressed. My father is an accountant and I think too much of his frugalness rubbed off on me grin

Have a friend who's ring is so expensive it's not insured for leaving the country... her dh bought her one which she said when got was 'temporary' (don't think poor guy realised this!) until they got the proper one! Think original was a few hundred and the 'real' one was possibly at least 10k if not more. eek faint
