Hi girls Well with Daylight Savings we're getting an extra hour here in the mornings I think the birds wake up MM and they haven't adjusted yet so I'm enjoying the extra hour's sleep We're off out to have lunch with a friend today so that will be nice. it coincides with MM's nap time so hopefully she won't be too grumpy Re solids ... MM does not like finger food or anything that is quite lumpy. Any other babies like this. When we were last at Plunket they said to just keep giving her a couple of pieces of finger food after each mea. She just plays with it and squashes it. They said that soon she would eat it.....hmmmm not yet. And, if she gets lumpy (like a small cube) food in her mouth, she gags and then spits it out Do I need to worry or just let her go at her own pace? She that unsweetened yoghurt with nothing added. I can't believe how sour it is and she it. Seratone - how was the coffee group yesterday? Tippie - wow saving $300 for packing yourself. That's a great saving! You'll be so pleased to move to a bigger house and, as you said, giving Mr T his own room. Yay Hopefully having his own room will help with his sleeping Poppit - Aww to Miss L having bleeding gums Poor wee thing. That sounds so sore. How does it feel being back? I always get a little depressed on the way home in the plane from an overseas holiday. Planning the next holiday always helps

Hi everyone Zara is currently pulling out all the toys on the bottom of the bookcase beside me while I type, luckily her sister isn't here helping - is at preschool. Z's so near crawling its lovely watching her trying to figure it out, already less frustrated with all her rolling and twisting moves getting her mostly where she wants to go. We're waiting on tooth 8 now, teething has been evil for her too but no bleeding gums (poor L Poppit!) Z's got a couple of suspicious blistery spots today so the chicken pox is on the way for her. Knew her sleeping from 7pm-5am on Sunday night meant something was on the way, totally out of character for her! She had an awful night last night but at least we can get pamol into her orally now so no more suppositries Tippie how exciting re your move I bet Torbin does sleep better once settled in his own room, will be fantastic to have a separate play space for them too. Carley I haven't looked at the vids cos our net plan will go over (bums!) but I bet he stole the show Nimbus kudos for going 'green' How's your mogs doing? scuse 1ft z on knee now yay mrs p for forwards action! poppit your holiday sounded fantasic, clever girlie stair climbing! ttinks MM will get there with ff and more texture, z is the same. thought she'd never eat hehe, then never get past jar food, very liquidy puree and now she's on more mashed stuff but same as MM with lumps. we give her whatever we're having in ff form -or she'll squawk- and she just sucks it, sometimes some goes in but mostly it lands on the floor better go play with the midgy, seeya

Oh dear Emzee.. sympathy. Big ds has the chicken pox here at the moment and he is miserable... not sleeping at night, crying in his bed because he is so itchy... absolutely covered in spots EVERYWHERE including scalp, inside his mouth, genitals etc.... I'm inspecting the others daily but no one else has them yet!
On the egg front, yes Fe has been having scrambled egg for a while... such an easy fast meal! And Tink, F LOVES natural unsweetened yogurt as well... particularly if it's greek!
Right, better go and get myself some breakfast. BBl, x

Morning Lulu poor DS, sympathy from me to you guys too. Will probably take Z to the gp today as she was miserable last night and I want to hear his thoughts on phenergen use in babies. Called the nurse today and she suggested urtica for the itch (from the health shop) and calomine lotion to cream (like lemnis fatty) at a ratio of 2 to 1 so tried that on Z. Haven't done egg here yet with Z but I love eggy stuff for kids, omelette is our standby "can't be frigged cooking a big meal" dinner here Oh, when they say avoid if allergy in family do they mean food or any allergy? We have loads of eczema, hayfever, dust mites blah blah but no confirmed food ones. I've always erred on the side of caution but maybe I'm doing more harm than good not introducing 'trigger' foods now? Better go, Z's up.

I tink it is specific to the food allergy. We have scrambled eggs here too (with a bit of cheese) and they go down a treat.
Well K rejected me yesterday so this is day 2 with no BF's I was very sad - wasn't quite the way I wanted it to end. Had to express last night and am a bit worried about getting another bout of mastitis.
Have my parents here at the moment - mums up for a week which is cool, they are babysitting while we take the DSDs to mama mia!.

Hi Loving being home Tink, do love going away but there is no place like home Having a day at home tomorrow as the last 3 days have been mad busy - everyone has wanted to catch up with us so the house is still like a bombsite. Nice to know we were missed though hehe. I would definitely not worry about MM not doing lumps Tink, she will do it in her own time for sure . My good friends first DS didn't do lumps until he was around one as he would gag. Eats everything like a trooper now! Oh no to your big DS having chicken pox Lulu I hope it doesn't do the rounds. Can relate to the squawking if no.2 doesn't get what everyone else is having Emzee Cracks me up how they know what they want from such a young age. I think the rule of thumb is just if there is an allergy to the particular food in your family. Let us know how you got on at the Doc with Z. to you for the end of bfding Seratone. I bet you are having a ball at Mamma Mia. I am going next weekend Teeth 5 & 6 through now and Miss L has slept thru the last 3 nights in a row Probably jinxed it now

Good morning girls How is everyone going? Gosh I went to the mall yesterday with the school holidays on.....you can imagine how packed it was there. Not much going on here. Just plodding along. Will take MM for her monthly weigh-in today all going well. Hopefully we see a '7' at the start this time Emzee - I can't believe that Miss Z has 8 teeth! Wow, what a busy girl she has been. How are the CP? Your poor girls. Sounds like we're the same on food. MM is on mashed stuff too but as soon as a lump goes in, that's it, there's gagging, face screws, and out it comes I also think it's food allergies they talk about. I was very allergic to eggs as a child so will keep MM away from those until she's 1. Lulu - gosh poor you, now with your DS having CP too after Mr F being so ill Thinking of you hunny Isn't it funny how they love sweet things but will eat sour as things so easily too. I'm not a fan of the natural yoghurt, I like the flavoured stuff. Seratone - on Miss K not wanting her Mummy's Milk anymore How are you about that today? Yay to having your parents staying. Miss K will be loving that ... so will they of course. Mama Mia, my friend went to see it and said it was fab. Poppit - yay for having sleep throughs I hope too that they are here to stay

I'm OK about K - hopefully the boobs will settle down - although most of my old bras don't fit around the chest so might have to get one or two to tide me over! Mama mia was fantastic - they are such good performers and singers and its a great story. DSDs loved it too. Just plodding along here too, not much happening have to think of somethings to do with Grandma!

5 nights sleeping thru Big sleeps too, 6.30/7pm til 7.30/8am. I think I have been getting up to her waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too fast for waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to long. I am such a light sleeper and hear every noise and rather than let her resettle I had been jumping up and feeding her. Decided to do the earplug thing and apart from 2 of the nights when she woke around 2am and grizzled for 10 or so mins DH said she hasn't made a peep the other 3 nights. I guess your (.)(.) might stay a bit bigger seeing as you are pregnant again Seratone? I know mine have grown hugely in early preg both times. Gosh you mustn't be far off 12wks??? Yay that MM was great. I think you should let grandma have some outings with Miss K and put your feet up Wahoooo to MM breaking the 7kg mark funny that you say its from the cheese. Wonder if that is my problem with still having the baby bulge I have the COOLEST new toy . Its a Limited Edition Apple Red KitchenAid Benchtop Mixer worth $1000! I won it as a subscriber to Dish magazine, lucky huh?? Seeing as I am a mad keen baker and cook it is the perfect prize for me! Matches perfectly with my red splashback too Hey Seratone, any ideas for somewhere to have lunch close to the Civic before I go to Mamma Mia? Right off to watch ANTM

Wow, what a prize Poppit Well done! What the heck is a Dish magazine? Such a perfect prize for you hun. You deserve to win such a wonderful prize cause you're so wonderful Go Miss L on the sleep fest. I think we've spoken before that I found out that my problem was getting up to quickly for MM and not giving her a chance to self-settle. Are you going to Mama Mia too? Yay. Yes, I truly believe that cheese has helped her put on some weight. She loves it too. Seratone - maybe Miss K is thinking it's still too light outside for her to go to sleep I have to shut the curtains when I'm giving MM her last feed so she knows it's now time for bedtime. If I don't shut them she plays around a little thinking it's not bedtime yet. Hopefully she is fast asleep as I'm typing. Sitting here watching Aussie Idol. Just finished watching ANTM. Went shopping at the mall today and got a cool bubble machine for MM which I'll put away for her birthday or Christmas. It was on special in Farmers and it can blow out thousands of bubbles in minutes we'll see. Should be fun in the summer days to play with it. We play with the normal blow your own bubbles now and MM loves them I'm sure she'll love this machine. Going to organise MM's Christening next week. I think we'll arrange to do that early November. There is a Saint with her name and her Feast Day is 2 November so I think we'll do it the Saturday before that. I think that's quite nice. Otherwise we were going to coincide it with her 1st birthday but I think I'll separate the two.

Enjoy Mama Mia Poppit! Hope you found somewhere nice for lunch in the end. Tin - usually K is great at going to bed at night - normally she is asleep by 6.30 so when she acts up its a shock! Shes good though and its not a mojor shes so easy and lovely in every other way. Nice idea with the saints day for missymoos christening Tink. Just had DSS (23) around taking some photos of Kiri, he wanted the practice so 650 shots later hopefully there are some good ones!

Seratone _ you will have to post some pics for us to see wow to 650 shots and some from you too ttinkerbell. I will have to have a little photo shot with my little guy, maybe after we move. I agree with seratone - such a lovely idea to have MM christening on the saints day ttinkerbell. Have fun planning it. Then you will not be far from planning her first birthday !!!! Not that long to go ladies. And wonderful news that MM has reached the 7kg mark She will love the bubble machine, we got one for zoe when she was little and she still loves it. Poppit - Yay for some nice sleeping throughs, I am so jealous. But yay for you and L And yay for such a neat prize Emzee - So did Z get much chicken pox?? I hope she is getting better. Yay for tooth number 8, we have 6 broken through. Lulu - Hope your DS is feeling better too. Well busy bumble bees here, cleaning and packing, I am half way through the house. So doing good. Torbin is doing so many new things of late, finally waving, I have been trying to get him to do that for ages and he did today. Also got a few more words, dad and what sounds like granddad. And he is now moving from his tummy to sitting on his bottom, and when he gets up he claps his hands and a big as smile on his face, he gets quite happy with himself. I am loving this age. On that note I shall go to bed its really late and I will have wake ups in the night so better go and try to get some sleep while I can. Have a nice Sunday everyone.

Yay for the photoshoot! you will have some wicked ones I bet! Dish magazine is a foodie magazine, recipes and things. I get the subscription to that and Taste another foodie mag Oooh a bubble machine Tink. fun!!! The saint day sounds like a nice day to do the christening. Look forward to some photos Torbin sounds just lovely Tippie, don't ya love it when they are stoked with themselves for mastering something good luck with all the packing and moving. Something I am not in a hurry to do again!! I truly have a love affair with my mixer, made blueberry & lemon buttermilk pancakes this am. Ava loves it too always wants me to turn it up faster! Its going to be fatal to my already blooby waistline......... Off to use it now to whip up some corn fritters for an easy Sunday dinner. here today too Tippie.
