Smoochie, just hang out with us here to chat, and don't worry about weighing. laugh I'm still not in quite the right head space but I'm "faking it till I make it"

I agree - stick around, Smooch - we like your company! blowkiss It's very hard to keep up the momentum but you've been losing well and perhaps just giving yourself a new goal (i.e. you want to work in a walk each day, or something) rather than the weight to focus on will help.

Welcome, Kelmacca and MMM! Great to have you on board - come on in anytime and ask Qs, chat about where you're at on the weight loss journey, etc. smile

Good on you, Maggie, 'faking it 'til you make it' - I've been doing a fair amount of that, too! We'll get there - and so much closer to the goal when we're actually ON THE ROAD than just sitting on our couches thinking about how we'd really like to lose some weight! LOL

I guess I should come up with a goal for the challenge: I'll say that my goal is 65 kg (3.9 kg loss), although I'm not sure if that's realistic, given my track record! But that's really where I'd like to be by the end of the challenge - seeing as I'm doing this bootcamp and working out 6 x a week and all! grin We'll see. And of course for the next 6 weeks (while I'm still in the fitness fantasy competition) I can only weigh in every other week - but I'll still lurk around here! overhere

Better stop stalling and get onto the crosstrainer. smile

Bella- if that boot camp doesn't shift the weight, i don't know what will! Sounds full on.

Smoochie- Scales DO jump around, it depends more on hydration and and levels of food in our bodies than the amount of fat. Only weigh yourself once a week, at the same time and try to look at the overall trend. I have the old fashioned scales that have a dial and a needle- you can't really tell any closer than the nearest 500gm, that helps too.

Hi Kel and MMM!

Kel- get some photos of yourself now so you have something to compare with in a few months times smile Also, ignore the FF09 ladies and their bad food talks, it annoys me how much i have to read about all the things they have eaten!

Well I'll stick around and round my weigh in. So if it is 64.2 I will say it is 65 and if it is 65.8 I will say it is 65. Because it really is wild. At least with bfing and no AF I knew where I stood. Now I only have one good week out of 4 because of the blinkin hormones etc.

Soon things will be improving so I will be able to do more exercise for now I will just concentrate on getting better (I have the flu and am not happy about it) and then formulate a plan of action.

Good girl, Smoochie! grin Get better soon - it's awful having the flu and we all know that Mummies don't get sick days, so you have everyone's sympathy, I'm sure! blowkiss

Yeah, I agree, Lunna - if bootcamp doesn't get me fit and slimmer I don't know what will... that's what was freaking me out initially when I hadn't lost anything! LOL Still, I'm sticking it out and we'll see where I am in another six weeks. Hopefully at some point the weight loss will accelerate a bit, but for now I'm just happy to be finally (FINALLY!) under 69, and OK to just weigh fortnightly for now. smile

wave everyone

I'd like to join in too smile I've been lurking until I got brave enough to join giggle wow lunna ! great photos! I kinda look like your 'before' pics so nice to see what I WILL look like in your after shots smile

Baby #2 is 2 months old now faint and I'm ready to get back on the bandwagon smile 9kg fell off in the first couple of weeks and since then I've stayed at the same weight that seems to be my plateau weight if I don't do anything.

I was doing the C25K before getting preg but did NO exercise while pregnant as I was really sick at the start and then really lazy for the rest rofl

I found a free 'bye bye baby weight' plan at activetrainer.com so am following that. It seems really easy! nice way to ease back into things laugh

Current weight is 85.3, not sure on the ultimate goal yet but goal for the challenge is 82kg.

thanks!

Hi Amie! and welcome laugh Have added you to our stats page excited Oh I must look at that activetrainer.com site, though can't really blame my current weight on 'baby' - he's 10 months old already!

Feeling a bit sore from last night, hoping DS2 will do a long nap so I can do some Pilates

I am saying 65.5kg today though I could be wrong. I forgot to weigh myself today. I need to get back into some kind of routine.

No change for me today, 62.4kg. I haven't been trying very hard lately, must really try to get fully motivated & get back on the right eating track...

Hey everyone,

Just popping in to say good luck for today's weigh in. I was very disciplined and managed to stay off the scale - hopefully this time next week I'll be posting with a good loss to show for my hard work! grin

Our trainer was just saying today how tough it gets as you get closer to your goal weight. Not a problem I'm going to have anytime too soon! LOL but just so those of you who are in that zone know...

ttfn blowkiss fingersx for some good losses!!

Hey all! Hope everyone's week went okay. I'm up 400g to 63.4kg this morning, but it was higher than that on Sunday, so it could have been worse.

Feeling pretty sore after my bodypump class on Mon, and have another tonight... yowzer! gonna feel the pain wacko At least it's motivating me to watch what I'm eating... have been careful since Monday, hope to keep that going till the end of the challenger. Have my DD's birthday party on Saturday, but hopefully one day of a few treats won't be too bad on the scales.

BellaB, how's your bootcamp going?

Smoochie, how about planning some walking time? I'm trying to find a good time for myself - I keep thinking, oh I'll wait till after xyz date and then I'll be less busy... and then it just gets busier! rofl

neemze, I hear ya on the eating track! I've had two alcohol-free days in a row (geez that sounds sooooo bad blush). If I cut down on the wine, the cheese & crackers go as well, so makes such a difference.

right, off to prep for dinner

lunna, hope you're okay and not comatose after your big run? (Can see headlines: "Kiwi runner wins half marathon, collapses while sipping celebratory Guinness")

Not comatose, just AWOL blush I forgot to jump on the scales this morning, i'll do it tomorrow. Been busy since the run, as we went for a trip up to Northern Ireland and now everyone is sick.

The half marathon was pretty slow (2 hours 17 min), but I ran the whole thing and it was a nice day, a great way to see Phoenix park. there were 8000 runners! Having a cold did not help.

Bella, Smoochie- well done on staying off the scales. fingersx for a good change next week.

Maquis- there's a birthday this week here too, i've bought lollies and things that aren't my favourites so hopefully i'm sensible and just have some cake.

allhail Lunna!!! Go you - you RAN the whole thing??! You're in great shape! I was chuffed with myself having run a 5K recently, and I've no delusions that my 10K (on the 12th) is going to be a full run for me. So well done - you should be VERY proud of yourself!

Good luck to everyone who has yet to weigh in - and to all those with celebrations to navigate, too. Tricky sometimes to know how to have the treats without it becoming an entire diet-busting week. smile

ttfn,
-Tracy
