Is it an inner hot? Can you feel it traveling around your body? Comes and goes over certain periods of time?
I have experienced what I would have said was hot flushes(they felt terrible and bit scary). Then 30mins later felt freezing, but got another hot flush. Happened about 6-7 times last night.
And just had another one this morning, am feeling really terrible.
Off to dr's 3.30 today but had a read of the symptoms on next page and I have at less 5 of them. Only thing is I still get a period but it is weird in length and constancy. And the pain I get before durinperiod is much worst, plus get what I thought was Ovalution P half way thru my cycle.
Any one?

I was wondering about my periods as well. I seem to have pains halfway through the cycle, like a period pain in build up but no period and then about every 3-4 months I have a period with a vengence. Usually I am 2-3 days long and light, then all of a sudden I am having 2-3 day periods but close to flooding with clots. I get a hot feeling sometimes but its not consistent. I don't know if it is because I am just getting older or if its the onset of menopause.

It's not easy to describe hot flushes! But yeh, an inner heat that spreads across the whole body. I feel it in the armpits most of all - I go straight into a sweat. It only lasts a matter of seconds, maybe up to 30 seconds, then I need at least another minute to recover!

When I first started out it wasn't so bad, nor so obvious. I just had a vague flush of warmth that seemed to come from nowhere. They can change over time but also they're different for different people.

Its a routine in my house DH doesnt know if he"s coming or going.And depending on my mood he is doing neither!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hot flushes for me start with a "prickling sensation" then a red flush to usually my chest area that looks like a heat rash. I have had very few of these, but have been mostly troubled with night sweats. Fortunately, these are now abating now I am officially post-menopausal. For what it is worth FSH level testing can be mis-leading. My best friend and sister were both told they were through menopause well and truly due to FSH levels. This being said, their symptoms were worse after this than they had been previously ! Menopause seems to be like so many things, a ver individual experience, with Doctor's predictions and "averages" of very little help !
