Hi Everyone
Its a while since I've been on the reflux part of this board. Our wee Bob has had silent reflux and we've really struggled to get food into him - we've been to the family centre, the Dr referred us to Mothercraft where you stay in hospital for a week with your babies to try and sort them out, we've had varying dosages of Losec and Gaviscon, a hospital trip because Bob got a stomach bug and given he was so small couldn't cope with not eating and we've had numerous Drs visits. We finally had a paed appt a week and a half ago and as well as being on losec 2x a day he has put us on ranitidine 3x a day. Its made such a HUGE difference. Wee Bob now actually cries for milk instead of crying because he had to have it. He sleeps through the night without a dream feed and basically is just a different wee boy. He is still a lot smaller than his sister but I imagine he'll catch up sometime. In the last 2 days he has also started loving solids - its just amazing.

Anyway I just thought I'd let you know what seemed to work for us in case it might help other people in a similar situation. Fingers crossed it continues to work.

Hugs to everyone, reflux is a really hard thing to deal with in your little one.

Debbie x

WOW great news. Our son who is 6yr old his reflux was never fully controlled until he was 5 and we added Zantac to the losec and then things started to improve with the 2. Great feeling eh!Long may it last.
