I didn't research Losec online, but did do a lit search along with my gastroenterologist about 7 years ago and it has been proven to be safe in pregnancy. I confirmed this with my OB last year when I got pg with my daughter. I took 40 mg every day

We keep them in the fridge if we are using them quickly, or in the freezer and just take out what we need as we need them, if they wont be used up within a week or so.
